Jokes on you, Disney, they’re planning on using that money to buy Hasbro!

Just the comic book fan in me here, but once this happens, is Spider-Man (and his associated characters) the only Marvel IP that Disney won't entirely own? I think this is accurate, but I thought there was a wrinkle with the Fantastic Four rights and Constantin Films. I don't know that there has been confirmation one way or another. comicbook.com/marvel/2017/12/14/marvel-characters-ownership-rights-infographic/Poor Runaways they couldn’t even make the infograph.

F*** that guy.

Mexico are the last major government to approve the Disney/Fox merger so Disney have set next Wednesday (March 20th) as the date the merger will be official.
If that’s the case, Marvel can, in theory, tease the X-Men/Fantastic Four/Doom/Galactus/whoever at the end of Endgame.

A universe of potential waiting to be tapped. But patience. Dark Phoenix needs to make money first. Then work can truly begin.

What if this one ends with "The X-Men are coming"?

I mean yay Fantastic Four, but if this affects Fox Searchlight and their quality output, that’s a proper tragedy.

I would be 100% okay if the after credits “scene” is just the old Marvel Studios intro with X-Men and FF comic pages and then a splash page with the Marvel logo and a 4 and X in the background and “Welcome Home” underneath. I’m honestly getting chills picturing it in my head

At last week's shareholders meeting, Bob Iger confirmed that 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight will continue to operate unchanged. Considering Disney have been pretty hands off with Pixar, LucasFilm, and Marvel, I don't see any reason to doubt him.

And the difference being whilst the studios listed make money, Searchlight brings in award acclaim which is just as valuable.

On the bright side, maybe Disney will FINALLY put the Simpsons out of its misery.

On the bright side, maybe Disney will FINALLY put the Simpsons out of its misery. Yeah, because Disney is known for letting a popular licensed product die and not exploiting it for years and years...

Disney usually does a better job of exploiting them though. At the very least they'd try to re-invigorate the property rather then just let it shamble along unabated like a zombie.

Hopefully this means we finally get the original versions of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu Ray.

Hopefully this means we finally get the original versions of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu Ray. Considering that's why they bought FOX in the first place*, I would certainly hope so. * not really but I like to think this
