Hopefully this means we finally get the original versions of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu Ray. Considering that's why they bought FOX in the first place*, I would certainly hope so. * not really but I like to think thisThey’re going to make a mint once they do. So many Star Wars fans lost their interest in the franchise after Last Jedi but just about every Star Wars fan is going to buy that set.

On the bright side, maybe Disney will FINALLY put the Simpsons out of its misery. Simpsons (and Family Guy while we're at it) still make tons of money, so I doubt they have any intent on ending either.

The Last Jedi re-kindled my love of Star Wars and I would be first in line to buy that set. Place down the road has the DVD versions of the original trilogy (non special edition) for about 7,000 yen. I've been holding out hope for a blu-ray release, but I'm not made of stone.

Nah, they'll use their Sith magic to make people think the Simpsons are back to form...for awhile. Like they did with Star Wars. (Then a Last Jedi mistake will happen and we're back to realizing they're still franchise zombies) It's FG I still wonder about. Will Seth and the PTB clash at all? I know Iger swears R-rated will be in place as needed, but is it an empty promise? I do know that an episode "Disney's The Reboot" is coming, wonder what that will be like? (I am guessing some sendup of the whole deal)

Hopefully this means we finally get the original versions of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu Ray. And X-Men in the MCU! And the Fantastic Four gets a GOOD movie! I think I hit all the usual points defending the deal.

I still get the DVDs to get the uncensored and extended versions. Much better on DVD than what makes TV.

Much better on DVD than what makes TV. Which, funnily enough, also make a lot of money. Again, if Disney hate money and getting money off of rival TV networks, they'll change things. They don't so they won't.

Having full distribution control of the first three films is worth billions alone in the long run

I think I hit all the usual points defending the deal. I have serious doubts that the Fantastic Four will ever get a good movie but I’d be all for it if they ever did.

I wonder how much they would charge for a deluxe box set featuring all 9 movies, the 3 special editions, the holiday special, Solo, Rogue One and the two Ewok movies.
