I’m sorry I’m marking out here but I’d put that scene on a pedestal with “the barn scene”

One of the best episodes of Walking Dead, them showing the victims fighting to the end made it more hard to watch.
Surprised they did this on the next to last episode as usually this would have been done in the finale or thought they would've done some cheesy cliffhanger where you'll see their reactions but not what they're looking at.

REMEMBER THE BARN!
That should be the battlecry from now on.

So by killing Henry, Enid and Tara has Alpha turned face?
In seriousness, that was awesome.
That scene showing them fighting back against all odds was great. So well done. One of the best scenes in the entire series.
If I'd have to give a criticism, I think a fan favorite should have been on there to give that emotional kick in the teeth because the known characters--Tara, Enid and Henry were ones most people found annoying, and the others like glasses girl weren't developed enough. As much as I like him, I think Jerry should have been on there. He's such a nice guy, his head been on the pole would have given the scene an extra oomph.
But still, that was fantastic.

The big swerve was that King Ezekiel's head was not on a pike! I hope Vince Russo is not secretly involved with this show.

Jerry or even his wife needed to be on the pike if Zeke wasn't going to be.

Not having Zeke or Rosita on there is def a shocker, more so Rosita as Kirkman has admitted he regretted killing Zeke when he did
Even more shocking is getting rid of Enid and Henry which were essentially Carl and Sophia
Tara life cycle went about 3 times over her usefulness so as far as main character death goes she fits the bill
I will say this, they are back to taking chances that got the show its hype in early seasons. No more "formula" as far as things happening and I think that is a good thing. I'm not happy characters like Jesus, Carl, Michonne, Maggie, Rick all left or were killed but with them gone, it gives the Whispers their bite because they look and act menacing

I think regarding Rosita having a pregnant woman beheaded would be a bit much to stomach. But yeah I can't imagine too many people tuning in to see the epic foursome romance plot with her, Father Gabriel, Eugene, and the Doctor dude.
That said, there is another episode left to kill off some other major characters.
By the way did anyone have DVR problems last night? Mine was only programmed for 9-10 PM, and I'm glad a friend texted saying that the show had gone way over, so I was alerted to cancel that one and redo it for the 12:27-1:52 AM showing.

True, tho if they really wanted to kill her off she would been almost having the baby after the time skip and some shit like she would have had the baby, the whispers keep the baby and kill her would have probably happened
I don't think anyone gets killed off in the finale. They just made a big move in the penultimate episode, so i'm more interested in how they potentially write off Michonne to her part time role.
Comic book readers know this arc dragged big time but the TV show deserves its credit for making the Whispers look great. Interested to see how next season goes which is not something I was saying starting this season

Yeah, the handling of the Negan intro was what turned ALOT of people off this show when it should’ve gone down as one of the most memorable moments in recent TV history

Yeah, the handling of the Negan intro was what turned ALOT of people off this show when it should’ve gone down as one of the most memorable moments in recent TV history It was unnecessary. They could have easily shown Abe getting killed and leave with the shock faces of the group and cutaway, then did Glenn at the start of episode one if they really wanted to go that route
Hell, you can argue the Whispers are more brutal than Negan which is what people hated about him, but they are going about this the "right way" and making people intrigued instead of turned off
I believe I said before, once they killed off Jesus , everyone is fair game. I did not like them killing him off but you can see the wheels turning and it's dragging me back into the show

alpha was scouting as to WHO to take ..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO enid, tara, ozzy (who i was really liking) and even henry (who i picked as a FUTURE LEADER DAMMIT) even the two tweener gang (i thought adeline was so sweet to henry) would have liked the whole barn scene to be longer and have that sidiq mourning speech as a background, then also that final shot of lydia placing the wooden coin, as siddiq said "they died like heroes" ..... and THEN the final shot of all their faces in abject horror BUT I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT!!! this just shows what the whisperers are ..... SAVAGE the editers played with our expectations with the timelines of the episode, soon as i saw 'hilde' wandering about i knew something bad was gonna happen they drew out the pike scene so well too, almost agonisingly ..... what's the betting NEGAN becomes a hero in all this .....
