I really liked Tammy and wished she had a longer run, seeing her fight back against the Whisperers had me there.

I think killing Henry was the writers way of apologizing to the fans for all the garbage the last few seasons

Tho in fairness, she hasn't done shit in the comic either except be Carl girlfriend

I think regarding Rosita having a pregnant woman beheaded would be a bit much to stomach. But yeah I can't imagine too many people tuning in to see the epic foursome romance plot with her, Father Gabriel, Eugene, and the Doctor dude. Nah, if TWD wants to regain all the lost ground from their dull writing, they've got to not pull punches. If Game of Thrones can get away with what it has the last several seasons, the last thing the showrunners need is predictability hamstringing them when they're starting to get some serious buzz once more.

Yeah that arc is dead now since they’ve killed Carl off twice

Yeah that arc is dead now since they’ve killed Carl off twice They killed off Carl and Sophia twice essentially with Enid dead
The only real aspect of Carl left is the relationship with Negan with goes to Judith
Well this was supposed to the Carl arc and they found a way to keep it going without him

Holy shit.. Ok so I've been anticipating this one for awhile now.. But Godamn. Some unexpected heads ended up on there. So much for Henry being Carl V2.0 2 survivors that met this fate in the comics. {Spoiler}Rosita and Ezekiel Nice little twist I will say. I'm glad Saddiq didn't end up on the poll.. If he dies then Carl's death is for nothing. I have to say they have done a really good job on this Whisperer arc. All I know is Carol is gonna slaughter some Zombie skin wearing mother f***ers at somepoint. I'm still interested to see how Negan is going to get involved with the whisperers. I feel I'm going to have to wait till Season 10 for that answer. But yeah like I keep saying.. This 2nd half has kicked the 1st halfs arse big time.

Oh my god. WHAT an ending. I am shocked. Like everyone else I was expecting {Spoiler}Ezekiel and Rosita to be on the pikes. When I saw Enid, Tara and Henry... I got chills. This was by far the best ending to an episode ever. And I’m glad I didnt read any spoilers cause without the wonder of it all, it wouldn’t have had nearly the same effect. I have a few things I need to point out... 1. What was the point of introducing The Highway Men? I feel like Ozzy had potential. But it seems they were literally introduced to make up the numbers for the pikes. 2. Tara has been doing nothing for years. I must admit, it bugged me how her, Eugene and Gabriel kept surviving and yet quality characters like Jesus and Carl were killed off. But seeing her head on the pike like that hit me right in the feels man. She didn’t deserve that death 3. Enid... this one hit me the worst. I guess because of the Carl connection. I love how she was wearing Carl’s shirt when she died. Having said that, I expected her to die. 4. Henry... I’m mixed on this. I’m sad he died as I was really warming to him lately. Everyone seemed to hate him cause he took Carl’s storylines but after this I see him as his own character. It sucks that he had to die cause he had so much potential as a character. And it was nice to have a young couple on the show for once... but like I was thinking, he HAD to die in order for Carol to return to her badass lone wolf ways. This “fairytale” she’s been living isn’t her. And Ezekiel’s eventual death will hopefully bring her back to reality and she can start kicking ass again. Alpha has surpassed Negan and The Governor for me. She is by far the most evil villain. There’s no contest. She kills because she’s sick in the head. Negan killed to keep everyone in line. Governor killed because he wanted shit. Alpha literally wants nothing. Man it’s gonna be hard to top this episode next week. I fully expect {Spoiler}Ezekiel and Rosita to die NEXT week. Just like Glenn “survived” the Lucille death for all of 5 minutes when Abraham died.

The 1st half featured the deaths of Jesus and Rick leaving, they have done a good job with building anticipation and actually not making them the pushover they are in the comic
I do wonder if they will keep that next scene but it will be interesting
Also Michonne on part time next season so I wonder if Daryl takes the role of the relationship that Rick had with Negan

I do think killing off characters does make it tough to invest in stuff though. The Henry deal is strange since his deal with Lydia was kind of the driving force of this season, at least the 2nd half of it. It was a bit hokey and felt like Dawson's Creek or something, but I was at least rolling with it. Henry always felt like a stand in for Carl though, almost like the name Carl was scratched out in the script and Henry was written instead. Or the Highwaymen. I was kinda interested in them, but that will go nowhere now.

Ozzy was the only one I wanted to see live. I like the lone wanderer thing... even though there are ten or fifteen Highwaymen

I loved the episode. But it's surprising that they didn't kill off someone from Magna's group instead of one of the random teens or Highway Men. It seemed as though Luke was a safe bet, or perhaps Kelly.
And maybe I was one of the few who liked Henry and Lydia as a couple, but I figured either Henry or Zeke would be piked.
It seems likely Daryl and Lydia will have a father-daughter connection in place of the romance storyline for Lydia & Carl/Henry.
I was a huge Enid fan, so it sucks that she was killed off. But I expected it, with her much-reduced screen time this season and the news that Katelyn Nacon recently moved to L.A.

Calling it now, Daryl and Lydia are gonna be a couple.
It might be a little weird at first but the actress who plays Lydia is like 18. They will do a few time jumps I reckon.

Norman Reedus is 50. 'Do a few time jumps'...so what she's then like 25 and he's 57? And before you say that Daryl is supposed to be younger than Norman Reedus, Darryl aint passing for younger than 40 at this point in the story.

It’s the Zombie Apocalypse. Lydia being 24 and Daryl being like 45 wouldn’t be that much of a stretch. What about Gabriel and Rosita? She must be in her late 20’s/early 30s. Gabriel has to be in his 50s.
