If she got hurt, everyone would be going "Well of COURSE a 13 year old shouldn't be bumping" and this wouldn't even be a debate.

More kids taking bumps. Yeah, that's what pro wrestling needs...
You know, at least WWE had the common sense not to have Nicholas take any moves.

Of course Joey Ryan is defending it. Dude smells another viral video paycheck where he makes Izzy touch his dick I bet. I seriously doubt that crossed his mind for a second. Character aside dude has shown himself to be an intelligent guy about his career. Yeah, let's stop reaching for shit. Even though I don't necessarily agree with Joey, he brought up decent points about promotions like Stardom and guys like Mysterio/Harry Smith as exceptions so I'll give him a pass. If the girl wants to follow her dreams, f*** it, why should I care. It's her body and future.

What does her being female have to do with anything? It's an age thing pure and simple. She doesn't have agency because she's a child.

But they're getting just as "famous" off this as Izzy is, so....

Newsflash: The existence of Ice Ribbon.
Newsflash: The existence of Stardom.
Not just there, but so many pro wrestlers started training, or even wrestling, on shows in their early teens. Some who came from wrestling families were bumping at a younger age than this girl, on a REGULAR BASIS.
Terry Gordy and Rey Misterio Jr.'s lives were so irreparably harmed by wrestling at a young age.
Come on.
Kids do sports all the time.
She wasn't put out there without training first.
Just like Ice Ribbon girls.
Of course everyone involved is being ultra safe with her.
If anyone thinks that taking the most protected chokeslam of all time in a wrestling ring is more harmful to a human being than any gymnast taking even one accidental hard fall on their head on floor mats, I've got news for you. And gymnasts trying to flip around repeatedly on a daily basis, for the sake of eventually learning how to land on their feet, but in the process land on their head and neck a lot more than this girl ever did in a pro wrestling training/having one match environment. Guaranteed.
The amount of over reaction to this is hilarious.

I don't know the examples you're quoting, but a kid taking a falling back bump from a distance equivalent to their own height is not safe regardless of where it's done. If in the same scenario, but where she's actually hurt, would you really still be saying: "-but it's been done before, so it's fine."? Also injuries sustained from other sports that kids do doesn't change the recklessness of this whole thing. For example, most kids aren't playing football with adults twice their size, and I'd wager most young gymnasts have crash padding set up around them when they practice and perform. Sure, it's not 100% safe, but those sports also doesn't require them to routinely fall on their back from a height. If they were being as ultra safe with her as you seem to believe, they'd probably find a way where she doesn't have to take such a comparatively large bump for someone her size. There just seems to be some serious compartmentalizing here. Especially when your two positive examples of this are a guy who died at 40, and another with knees seemingly made of paper-mache. I don't know what point you're trying to make with those two but it's not sending a good message.

Nah those are bad too; this isn't a situation where people are saying "This 12 year-old can't wrestle but it's fine if any other 12 year-olds take chokeslams", and it's weird you're trying to turn it into that. Maybe don't have 12 year-olds wrestle period. It being done in other places and having a precedent doesn't make it okay. Especially not when gymnastics training is not just "fall down onto your neck and head multiple times a day until you learn how to not f*** up".

Considering she got pulled from the pedophile's school real quick, this is probably the best take I've heard on this matter.

2011: Omega vs 9yr old girl wrestling is supposed to be "fun".
2018: One move is crossing the line

I honestly think too big of a deal is being made about this. That Effy dude is a pretty good worker, I have seen him a few times. And I don’t think he could have protected her more on that chokeslam.
Now, the real problem here is her weirdo parents. I have been going to NXT Florida house shows since 2014, those people are on some stage parent shit to a crazy degree.
I agree with Sienna, hell I brought up the football point in this thread weeks ago, the issue here is the girl being exploited.

Honestly, I think that's what most people are taking issue with, it's just the physical bump is the easiest to point at. It's not one thing, it's the whole situation.

I would tell teenage gymnasts not to do stuff that led to them falling to the ground from nearly six feet in the air too. I am an actual kids judo coach and I don't let my kids do high level slams to the mat because holy shit, why would I? The neck doesn't support the head properly at that age. You're not all the way built.

I know for facts Bayley, Sasha, Charlotte, Becky and more are on a first name basis with the parents. I wonder if they will reach out to them and speak out against this?
The father made sad attempts to be a gimmick fan as well. Would come decked out in Balor stuff, would call where he sat “The Balor Bleacher Club”, did annoying chants. Wouldn’t be THAT bad on its own, but when you are blatantly doing a second rate version of your young daughters gimmick, it comes off worse.
