What some people said seven years ago doesn't have any sensible bearing on what other people say in the present.

Not to mention expecting anyone to understand what point you were trying to illustrate by posting that screenshot is a reach and a half. I thought it was like an accidental pocket post haha.

To me it's completely the choice of move. The whole situation looks hairy to outsiders but I wouldn't want to accuse promoters or her parents of exploiting her because I could easily see this being a case of good intentioned naivety too. I just hope everyone involved has good intentions.
Like in the Omega match, much could have gone wrong but they were performing moves where Kenny had much more control over the girl's landing. I'm obviously not a wrestler so I don't really know exactly what I'm talking about, but that bump didn't really register to me as a safe bump. He tried to make it safe but that's a long fall and you can see her head slam against the mat.
I'm not really up in arms about it. When I was a kid I did a bunch of reckless stunts, I just think that choice of bump was poor.

Considering she got pulled from the pedophile's school real quick, this is probably the best take I've heard on this matter. That's my bigger worry. The industry is better than it used to be I think, but it still isn't a place for a kid. Hope she comes out of this without getting injured and without getting hooked on something.

Lots of people on this board posting opinions and it's not the same ones posting the two conflicting opinions. My later post wasn't the exact meaning of the picture, just the theme it was wrapped up in.

I hate it.
Small kids shouldn’t bump at all. Her body hasn’t developed fully. I’m trusting longtime wrestlers who’ve suffered concussions like Waltman and Lance Storm. Even when you bump and take every precaution, there’s still some whiplash that affects your head. Even a seasoned vet like Tommy Dreamer got hurt taking a chokeslam a couple of years ago and wrote that he would never take the move again.
I hope that she’s ok and this doesn’t affects her future.
Also Sienna’s comment about kids playing football is stupid, since after the concussion cmt studies became public, they’re trying to avoid the big hits at the kids level.

What’s the big deal? Don’t most British wrestlers start wrestling at the same age?

Yeah, it isn't really "oh its no more dangerous than football" its "oh shit its as dangerous as football." We're not a big sports family anyway so it is unlikely he'd be interested, but no way is my kid playing it.

You can take a million precautions and train forever, but the human body isn’t supposed to get hit, specially on the head, the human body isn’t supposed to take bumps.

Someone also gave the stupid example off Terry Gordy and Rey Mysterio.
Gordy died at forty and Rey is forty three and has suffered several knee surgeries.
Also not everybody has the luxury of earning a fortune like Rey has, when Gordy died I think he didn’t left shit for his family.

Yeah and look how f***ed up Paige’s body is at twenty six. Not worth it. One out of so many. Here's the thing: She's the one we HEARD about. She's the one that got famous enough for the f***ed up way she spent her adolescence to be a big deal. How many more that started at her age do you think washed out and ended up crippled, with no back-ups because they started young that we've never heard about? The careers of grown ass men and women end because they take one bad bump, one bad fall in training. She's not even out of MIDDLE SCHOOL yet, no need to chance that.

Sami Callihan, a good trainer by all accounts, was teaching his best friend a routine bump, his friend missed it and died because of brain hemorrhage. And he was a grown ass man.

Off topic, but it appears this forum's activity peaked upon the day Titus O'Neil tripped during the keg challenge and got eliminated from NXT Season 2. I'm not sure what that says about all of us, but it sure says something.
