Sabu I get him being difficult to do business with because his uncle The Sheik taught him to be like that, but what the f*** is Low Ki’s excuse for refusing to lose fake wrestling matches? He's mirror-world Inoki. He thought winning kayfabe wrestling matches made him a legit MMA badass. Well Inoki was a real life badass, Low Ki? Not so much.

Low-Ki is legit one of my favourite wrestlers. Was gutted to see his treatment in WWE and I truly believe if he was part of NXT nowadays, he would have become immensely popular and had a better run on the main roster like Bryan, Zayn, Owens, Balor and Rollins before him.

Him being paired with LayCool was the best thing that happened to him in his entire run. It was great.

The Laycool pairing was great for him and if he just sat back and played the game for a bit he would have been fine
If he came in now he'd be like Aries, one year and out the door before he burns the bridge completely
Dude is talented but he's an asshole

Yeah, they were patronizing him and squeeing over how cute it was that the wee little man spoke with a deep voice and acted like a hardass. And he was playing it as the dude who had two of WWE's more prominent (at the time) women on his arms as if "Yeah, I got it like that." It was gold.

Yea, if he said he enjoyed Laycool I believe him because he may not have shown it but he looked like he was having fun
You can see it was probably a dig at first so he wouldn't take himself so seriously but it worked better than anyone expected and could have done more

He'd have never succeeded because he had no idea how to work safe and just kicked people as hard as he could.
The guy was a tool.

I still remember him nearly destroying Ziggler's face with that brutal kick. He could've been a nice midcard act with LayCool but he doesn't seem like the kinda guy to tone down his style.

I liked his stiff approach. Dat theme too.. You can look stuff and realistic but without legit kicking someone. Just look at Regal when everyone thought he stiffed up Lance Storm but Lance said he pulled every punch. Finlay also worked a stiff style but I can't recall him ever hurting anyone.

I think you're thinking of the late Dr. Death. Dude had incredible punches that even worked the boys backstage but Storm said they felt like being hit by a pillow. With Finlay though, you have that match at WCW Uncensored where he and Regal beat the shit out of each other. Like you'd think they'd been in an actual fight with how banged up they were

On the bright side, Low Ki was replaced on the Matt Riddle's Bloodsport card with MINORU SUZUKI and absolutely no-one complained, except for the promoter, obviously.

Yeah with that Finlay Regal match I think that was more they agreed to be as hard as possible since they were good friends. If either was facing someone they weren't familiar with, I think the match would have been much less brutal. Neither has a rep of stiffing people or injuring them.

We can both take the hits and we trust eachother, let's just utterly die"

Knowing all we know about him now, I can't see any way he would have succeeded in the company.
While I don't know the full story behind it, the EVOLVE capo kick incident was either one of the most unprofessional shoot incidents I've ever seen, or one of the shittiest worked matches I've ever seen. Either way, nothing I care to see in a major promotion, or indeed any promotion.

Finlay also worked a stiff style but I can't recall him ever hurting anyone. a weird one to compare with then. But I always remember people used to say Alicia Fox was dangerous because her Axe kick looked like it would legit knock the person. Yet she never hurt no one with it.
