The final straw for Feige with Perlmutter was when the Russos wanted to use Tony Stark in Civil War and RDJ thought it would be better if he got an extended role rather than the cameo he was originally meant to have due to the drama of the script. Perlmutter’s obvious response was to try and fire RDJ because that would mean he would need to pay RDJ more money than he wanted to. Feige, aware of how much of a backlash there would be for letting the most popular MCU actor go for such a stupid reason, went to Iger and asked for complete creative control. Oh wow, that's just all kinds of messed up. I can only imagine the backlash if he was successful with that move.

ALSO....how hot is Marisa Tomei? I'm still struggling with how attracted I am to Aunt May. This is very new to me.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} So, with them having established that Fury utilises Skrulls to act in his place, what are the odds we see them play around with some major retcons with “Was it or wasn’t it Fury?” during different points in The Infinity Saga? {Spoiler} I'm f***ing loving Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, I hope we see him hang out with the Guardians at some point

Loved the movie greatly. Mysterio was fantastic and just well played and like the little Easter egg to an early part of his life in the comics as a wrestler

Just saw it. It was good but I still liked Homecoming better. I felt that Mysterio's plan was way too convoluted. I loved Zendaya's performance. She was a lot less standoffish this time and it helped. She and Tom Holland have good chemistry together. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I also enjoyed Ned and Betty's brief romance. A neat little nod to the comics. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}My favorite scene was when MJ half-joking guessed Peter's identity with Pete trying to talk his way out of it only for Pete to come clean the minute he realized Mysterio's deception. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}And that first post credit scene: HO... LY... SHIT!!! So Peter's secret is out. I fear this could lead to: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Nah... they wouldn't do that, would they?

My first reaction to that midcredits scene was also holy shit. If they even consider one more day I hope they're all fired.

The action scenes were the best Spider-Man has ever had on film. People say that every film. People ALSO say that every film. This time, some of those people were right.

That's not Peter Parker. Peter would never do that to save his octogenarian aunt. I actually stopped reading spider-man after that until Superior. I hear I missed good stuff with Big Time and may read it some day but I don't know.

In the story, Doctor Strange cast a spell that made people forget who Peter was I outright despised Dan Slott's run on the character and I don't particularly care for Superior Spider-Man either, it's massively overrated and doesn't do many of the iconic characters justice. Nick Spencer's run on the other hand has been the best Spidey has been in years so far. It's done a lot to wash away the bad taste of the last decade.

For what it's worth, Marvel Studios don't do direct adaptations of comic stories, they take what works really well and throw out everything else, sometimes just taking the title and coming up with an entirely new story.

I was confused by the ending. {Spoiler}Mysterio is shot by one of the drones, and he's lying there dying. But wait, it's an illusion and he's actually standing behind Spider-Man pointing a gun at him! And then he... keels over and dies? So he was actually shot by the drone, but not as bad that he couldn't stand there with a gun ten seconds later, but bad enough that he dies from his injuries another twenty seconds later?

If they ever do One More Day it could very well kill the MCU, or at least the Spider Man portion of it

Of the many classic Spidey tales still out there to adapt, I firmly believe One More Day/One Moment in Time sits just a step above Sins Past in the "We Will Shut Down Disney World Before We Make This Movie" pile.

*shakes head at everyone saying "One More Day"* {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Spider-Man framed for murder is a clear set-up for Identity Crisis.
