My answer for this kind of topic will always and forever be this little shit: Season 4 of Angel has some of the very best episodes in the entire run of the show, and he drags every one of them down by several notches. Leslie Thompkins, and yes, Gotham's writers seriously can't do relationships. I really barely even got to her because Gotham had already scared me away with how awful Fish and Barbara were. At least they managed to save Barbara by making her batshit insane. Leslie got to be so insufferable I retroactively started disliking Morena Baccarin in other roles, like Deadpool and Firefly/Serenity.

I still loved the show, but Craig was the worst Parks and Rec character for me. Couldn't stand him anytime he was around.

Am I the only one who just doesn't get the Felicity hate? She's basically always been Penelope Garcia's hotter, younger sister. Come to think of it a lot of Criminal Minds fans detest Garcia as well. I'd say the whole Ricardo Diaz plot has soured me on Arrow quite a bit. I like Felicity. Outside of random moments here and there, I've always liked her. *shrug* And besides Quentin, she was the only one who had Oliver's back last season. I’m in the same boat. Yeah, there’s been a couple times she’s annoyed me but I’ve never really had an issue with the character and really don’t get the visceral hatred her and Iris get

Both were bad additions to their respective casts and overlapped in their time on their shows, so it was a double dose of whiny teenager writing that much of early Buffy actively avoided the trope of and was applauded for avoiding.

That said, the way her relationship with Oliver is written feels like its being writtwn by a robot trying to mimic human behaviour. And it is failing. Hard.

Hinata in Naurto The shy and timid nature was cute at first and I liked how they had her character have probably her best moment in standing up to Pain in protecting Naruto. I probably would have killed her off there and felt like her character was almost perfect. However, once that happened they started forcing her into situations. Neji gets killed to give her sympathy points with Naruto and then they bring up the BS about Nauto always loving Hinata and being shy around her They kind of jumped through hoops at the very end to make that relationship stand when they didn't need to I like Hinata, but it's funny. They over-explained the pairing that didn't really need a lot of setup with Naruto and Hinata, and give us nothing for Sakura/Sasuke. It's not like I was rooting for this pairing in some big way, but they've barely spoken on camera, and we've seen very little to imply he cared about her in some big way. It creates this really disturbing dynamic about a deeply unhealthy relationship. Maybe do some of that falling over yourself to explain about THAT, author dude? You know, the thing that needs some actual setup?

I’m fine with the idea of Oliver and Felicity, but they have sacrificed her character for the sake of relationship drama. 95% of the time, she’s fine. But there always seems to be that couple times a season she’s does stupid shit for the sake of drama.

How about redeemed annoying characters? I used to despise Valencia on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, season one. Which I guess was the point. But season 2 on, as she became friends with Rebecca et al, she's become a more likable, more multifaceted character. Tom from Parks and Rec for me. I guess you could say it was good character development when he finally matured. But early Tom annoyed the crap out of me, yet we're still supposed to believe this slimy PUA wannabe is a good guy underneath, to the point they even have Ron Swanson vouching for him as such. But to me, the fact that he thinks that sleazebag persona is better than the "good guy" he's really supposed to be is already bad enough, then his worst moment is when he hijacks Leslie's press conference to do a terrible PR stunt for his dying company he killed with his own incompetence. And of course, Leslie forgives him, because she's super nice, but after a stunt like that, he'd personally be on my donzo list.

You know, the thing that needs some actual setup? Yea, that's one where it should been given the attention. The only confirmation we got that Sasuke returned Sakura feelings was the forehead poke when we really should have seen him have a mini breakdown or something. Hell, he cried after he realized Naruto never gave up on him and is his family so why not the same for Sakura
Then again a lot of pairings are sort of from left and the most established one since damn near the beginning is Temari and Shikamaru
At least Ino got Not Sasuke Sai

While we're talking about shonen...
It wasn't the only issue I was having by any means but I feel like I wouldn't have lost patience for and stopped watching My Hero Academia as quickly as I did if not for the, "We're just going to pretend the fire and ice guy was a main character the entire time because we gave him slightly more focus than the rest in the season one finale," nonsense season two started off with. Which is actually kind of a double example as one other aspect that bugged me about that was giving the show a second Sasuke when I found Bakugou a drain on the show as it was.

Holly Flax from 'The Office' 'Judge Dredd' sucked anyway, but I really hated Rob Schneider's character.

Nellie on The Office.
Mark Bandanowicz and Jean Ralphio on Parks and Rec.
One person I did a 180 on...
Yo-yo on AoS. Always whining, saying she doesn’t feel part of the team or having drama with Mack. Written out in dumb ways, since her powers could fix everything. Then she killed Dove Cameron’s character when everyone was standing around about to be killed, then the rest of the team is mad at her for it. Yo-yo is the best.

not too long ago i rewatched every season of Homeland, and i'd forgotten how awful Dana Brody was I watched Homeland a few years after it came out and the whole time I'm going "This show is awesome. But geez is the daughter annoying". Then I go on to the internet to discover an entire community of people who ruthlessly hate the character.

I still loved the show, but Craig was the worst Parks and Rec character for me. Couldn't stand him anytime he was around. You know now that you mention it, I actually gave up on Parks and Rec in the first few episodes thanks to that charismatic black hole of Mark. After he left, the show became one of the more entertaining shows to come out this decade. Not to say Craig wasn't annoying, but Mark was insufferable.

Connor in Angel (and Season 4 in general) pretty much ruined my enjoyment in that show. Which is a shame cause from what little I've seen of it, Season 5 seemed pretty damn good.

John Cena. My memory about stuff that's happened in WWE starts to get fuzzy around 2006 or 2007, when Cena was the guy who dominated WWE TV, and over the next decade I slowly stopped caring about professional wrestling because of him.

It's funny that Leslie Thompkins has been mentioned since I very much liked her when she was first on Gotham. But then I loathed Barbara so much that putting Gordon with someone half decent made it much better. Of course then they have her engaged to Carmine Falcone's son and all that lunacy, then mad at Gordon for killing him, etc. Curiously I was ready to hate the stuff with her and Riddler but somehow they pulled that one off. Gotham's problem is that the show makes everyone, and I mean everyone, into a crazy villain or antihero. In fact the closest thing to a coherent protagonist the show has is Bullock, who has never been exactly a forthright sort of guy in other versions.
Speaking of Gotham, obviously we know Fish Mooney was terrible, but that was mostly season 1. Barbara has sucked for the entire run of the series, with only her initial crazy storyline being fairly okay. Almost everything else with her has sucked. They've tried making her a nightclub owner, whatever this stuff is with Tabitha and Butch, a gun dealer, Ra's Al Ghul's reincarnated favorite whore, just everything to try and get her over.
I mentioned Criminal Minds in passing earlier, but I'd say the whole Mr. Scratch storyline dragged on forever and even included a random swerve for a season finale. Scratch was a great 1 episode bad guy you wish you saw again, but he was a bad idea for a season long villain.
