*Dolph Ziggler - There has been a lot of talk in the last week that Ziggler is done with WWE after turning down an offer to become a producer. His last TV appearance was the beat-down he took in a steel cage on Raw against Drew McIntyre last month. He has removed the Dolph Ziggler name from his social media and is embarking on a comedy tour soon. He has not been on the road for WWE in recent weeks after the completion of the Holiday house show tour. As of today, sources claim he remains under a WWE deal (and some there have denied he is exiting at all) but others have been pointing to 1/31 as an exit date. Whether that turns out to be the case, we will see. Ziggler was coy with PWInsider.com last August when asked about whether he had signed a new WWE deal, commenting, "I guess you’ll have to see Sunday or Monday, but I’ve also heard that [his deal was coming up.] I’ve also heard about several different contracts that I signed but I didn’t sign. So…I’m giving you a comment. I’ve been doing some great work and looking forward to doing what I do and Sunday or Monday, we’ll see what direction we’re heading in afterwards.” So, time will tell, but there are some who believe he is done.
PWI
Should he stay or should he go? If he goes it will be trouble, if he stays it will be double?

I can't see it happening. Dude's a pure WWE product. I cna't see him wanting to take his chances outside of that bubble. If he was unhappy enough to want to leave, I think he'd have done it a while ago.

I think he absolutely should go. I’m a fan of the dude as a performer but he’s becoming stagnant in the company in fault of creative and himself IMO.
But if I were a betting man, he’s most likely going to take a break to focus on his comedy and come back to be he who stops the proverbial show or something.

I cringe at what kind of terrible smarky anti-WWE promos he would do outside of WWE. Hopefully he would just re-invent himself and create a strong character like Cody Rhodes, but I have a feeling he couldn't resist going the bitter ex-WWE employee/TNA route.

I have no idea if he's any good at the stand-up thing or not, but places keep booking him, so yeah, I can see him saying "f*** it", and working on that for a while.

If he leaves the WWE and tries his hand on the indy scene, he'll be exposed as Damien Sandow was. They're some of the better products of the WWE's developmental system in the 2000s, but being the cream of a bad crop doesn't mean they're great.
The only place in wrestling I can see Ziggler making any sort of impact outside the WWE is in the carefully written and choreographed environment of Lucha Underground.

oh no not dolph whatever will I do take drew with you
Both dudes have a lot of mat skill but their charisma is just... bleh. And to be honest the WWE has a plethora of mat skills and a severe lack of charisma at the moment. Maybe Dolph can go learn some new tricks elsewhere (or on the comedy circuit) and come back in 3 years as a true star.

This has, in all honestly, popped up every year since 2015.
I almost wish he would leave so... 1- We'd see if he's any more endearing in a different setting. 2- The upper-midcard time he eats up would go to someone else.

Yeah, Dolph's in such a weird place, in terms of his position on the card. He's too important to do nothing with, but he's clearly not important enough in the writer's eyes for them to give him anything of substance to do, so he just kind of....exists, in this limbo where one week he could be jerking the curtain, and the next he could be in the main event. It's weird.

He should go to AEW and be top heel in the company.

Can't wait for him to be a "surprise" entrant in the Rumble like last year.

Cue cute little “I’m ALL IN” wink wink “Maybe I’m TOO ELITE for this company” wink wink and “See you in the STARDUST” wink wink tweets from him.
Followed by either that disappointing record scratch at the Rumble or that dissapointing AEW promo where he shouts PAUL LEVESQUE like a deranged lunatic.

He should go to AEW and be top heel in the company. He's not going to be the top heel in the new promotion. That job would go to Cody, Omega or Page.

He and Orton would be so refreshed leaving for a few years. I would really like to see Orton outside of WWE. He has shown signs of creativity and has a strong understanding of psychology. I see a lot of Jake Roberts in Orton, but WWE being strongly against creativity and putting massive barriers on wrestlers(unlike what they did in 80s and 90s) harms him more than helps.

He should go to AEW and be top heel in the company. I have a much stronger feeling that he’ll be challenging Johnny Impact for the title at whatever the hell TNA’s next ppv is called, in a Smackdown 2010 DREAM MATCH.

I hope he is the big “surprise” entrant of the Royal Rumble. Have someone take out R-Truth, leave a note that #30 has been stolen, hype the fxxx out of it like its Kenny Omega.
..... Then the record scratches.
