Not for the drug issues. He admitted that while he did pills in the nineties that he also subjected himself to testing so the office would trust him. He got fired because of the gun and I still think that Stephanie did it because she hated him. Let’s face it, Hayes has done much worse stuff and he’s still around. The hell does Hayes actually do even? Make an ass of himself?

Yeah, I have a somewhat? more charitable opinion of him than some, but Steph made the right call. Honestly, I am hoping we'll get vignettes, remote segments, etc, some of the more classic presentation, or maybe something like the Cole interviews if Bruce had anything to do with JR formerly doing those style of interviews for Mankind, etc, even if most of them seemed to end with people assaulting JR. I think people who think he was a suckup, though, might need a reminder that Bruce was working for Vince for years and years. It's not exactly shocking they'd see eye to eye on certain things. I just hope it's not going to be all the bad. Oh I'm a huge Prichard fan, I actually believe for all his famed Yes Manning he's also one of the few to have the balls to tell Vince when something is crap. What's going on in WWE this last while has been crap. They've been producing crap. These moves at worst can only be a lateral move. Hopefully something starts clicking soon with these shakeups. I think some of it has been good, but some of it has been utterly dreadful, like them bungling Rusev, so yeah, here's hoping.

HHH/Stephanie aren't suck ups? They would have conspired to talk Vince into finally calling it a career if they weren't and seized control would they have? Prichard has spoken out before that he challenged Vince more than most other guys did when it comes to certain ideas. He challenged Vince on always have a babyface champion and other things.
Yea.. Off topic but why is Hayes there? He hasn't produced anything of value in years (if he ever has)

I wonder if Vince has tried to reach out to Pat Patterson? Last I heard, Pat was basically retired, and I know even guys like Bischoff have said that Pat Patterson was one of Vince's secret weapons in terms of booking.

On one hand, WWE need to hand over the reigns to different writers. Even if they don't work, you'll have a product that doesn't always have the same feel.
On the other, his views on Women's wrestling seems to be only slightly classier than Russo's...

I don't know about Pat anymore as he's even older than Vince I think. Or close to it. May be a little "too old" at this point.

I've always said you need individuals like Bret Hart, Scott Hall, Jake, and DDP as agents/writers who know how to build characters and tell stories. They would be the ones who could craft unique and fresh ideas.

Pat retired in the nineties, he just comes back occasionally for the shit and giggles.

All of these changes feel rather cosmetic, while Vince and Kevin Dunn are making the key decisions.
I can see some advantages to having Bruce Pritchard back - character work, vignettes and maybe more sustained storytelling - but he's hardly bringing a cutting edge, modern viewpoint to the product.

Bret doesn't get a long with Trips and Stephanie (Or he's had bad things to say about them in the past) from my understanding. So probably he isn't welcome there politically. He's spoken out about many of the agents and the family over the years. Prichard/Conrad have far and away the best podcast ever so that kind of sucks though

I love Bruce but he actually pitched Roadkill from ecw fame as an opponent for Undertaker. Lol I guess it depends on when this was how stupid it'd be. Like, in the 90s, it's not like it'd have been that beneath Undertaker, but post-Bikertaker, yeah, probably would have been a total joke of an opponent. Either way, obviously it'd just be something to pad Taker's numbers, not unlike when he was dealing with a past-his-sell-by-date Kamala.

Good for Bruce. Working for Vince is like his only duty in life in his mind. He obviously never wanted to leave and would do anything (even look like a fool in his own podcast) to kiss the company’s ass.
With that said, 2012-13 TNA is now 2019 WWE. Just need 17 Aces and Eights segments a week to make the transition complete.

Unfortunately this was the Heidenreich era.

Good for Bruce. I'm in the camp they should never have let him go. You understand why he was fired and the whole gun incident and the drug issues, right? He HAD to be fired. Depends if you believe Nova's version of the story (Bruce pulled a gun on a writer) or Bruce's version (he informed the head of security he had the gun on him and asked advice on how to get it home). Bruce freely admits he was a problem for Stephanie at the time and didn't shoot down the suggestion that maybe the whole thing was deliberately blown out of proportion just to get him out of her hair. As for drugs, I don't recall hearing he had any issues after the early-'90s, but even if there were, they could've sent him to rehab.
