What an overblown reaction to her. Which will inevitably solidify her spot near the top. Her promo was much better than most of the womens roster at getting a character across.

I think her character is fine, but she probably shouldn't be on the main roster yet. Her Rumble outing is a contender for worst Rumble performance ever, and that moonsault was brutal. Poor Nattie.

What am I missing about that moonsault? It looks like she hit it fine. She did land it rather hard, which is why they probably put someone like Natalya (who can take a beating) out with her and not someone like Liv Morgan, who’d have been broken in half

She hit the same moonsault on Natalya back on the Feb 8 edition of Main Event and nailed it flawlessly. I really do think some of you guys are being too hard on her for a move that actually looked pretty awesome. Lacey Evans vs Natalya (Feb 8)4:47 into the vid

I thought she looked pretty okay out there, and I can't stand the lady. I've never seen her wrestle, so that sudden jumping moonsault was really elegant looking in terms of the setup. She just jumps right to the top rope and flips without much balancing required. The landing was brutal and hurt Nattie, so hopefully that gets ironed out before she hurts someone else.

Also want to note that the notion of "THEY SHOULD STAY IN NXT LONGER" is a bit crap because it is notoriously terrible for homegrown talent to get Takeover matches. It is a glorified indy show and thats the fans want.
Dana had 1 takeover match to put over Asuka, Nia had 1, Alexa/Carmella had 0. It took years for another one (Bianca) to get one and even then she had to deal with it not being "Takeover worthy". Most of them really are just better off learning as they go on the main roster. NXT isn't magic.

NXT isn't magic. There is way more to being in developmental than working Takeovers, and if someone is green, then that time spent working under constant coach review and getting in more ring experience before going onto TV can only do people good. The people in NXT are working a really steady schedule to train, boiling NXT down only to its five-a-year PPVs is the notion that's a bit crap.

Well, it’s not so much what the fans want as the people involved, HHH presumably, going “Hey, these people are getting buzz, let’s get all of them and put them on a show every week” which, well, is both a positive and negative to an extent. A positive because those shows draw really well on big show weekend and a negative because of high expectations as you mentioned but no wiggle room for others to get on the shows. But I can agree with the idea of just signing everyone doesn’t help in the short term if you can’t get as many on the shows on a weekly basis. Because it doesn’t even seem like the Florida shows help much for some people.

I get that, I'm just saying theres a certain point where even if you aren't super polished, NXT won't help you get better and some are just better off learning on the house show circuit with main roster women. They don't get as much time in ring as you'd think, because there are a ton of women there now.

I hate her gimmick with the fire of a thousand suns but that has more to do with me than her.

I'm seeing several complaints that some of us are being too hard on her. The thing is, she is now in a title program with one of the most popular superstars in the company.
All we've seen from her so far (at least those of us who don't have NXT) is a mediocre Rumble performance and a lot of walking.
Now we finally saw a match to see how she performs. Fact is though, if you're in a program with the top champion, it helps if you've been established at all.
