They replaced BANG with BOING, but we are all saying SHOTS FIRED at WWE anyway. He said boing, so it was just a different kind of "shot fired" š

Disagree immensely, best pre-show of any show, and the last three matches more than made up for the Page shit, and the matches before it were solid too. I think this is better than Fyterfest. Agreed with that except the match before Page was bad too. That Uno dude sucks hard. I thought the match was fine, Uno's a good worker but his gear is awful right now, plus it was white hot and Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus looked great

Whew.
There are high highs and low lows again, just like the last show.
Adam Page, they've got to get their shit straight on like right away, they've run out of shows to build him up. Jericho did a bit of a good job course correcting.
Just because you put the Librarian on first so the crowd would be hot, doesn't suddenly mean the gimmick isn't death. Dump the Librarian bullshit right away.
The Dark Order is also a poisoned well now. You've gotta dump it and adjust.

WWE Network aired EVOLVE 10th Anniversary tonight as a pretty paper thin method of counter programming Fight for the Fallen. Which is kinda like airing an old rerun of Small Wonder to counter program Stranger Things. Honestly, I would have been interested in the EVOLVE show on any other night, but shove it in a weekend with both an AEW and WWE main roster PPV, and I don't even know I'm going to bother.

That Adam Page stuff was probably the first major misstep that AEW's had. I literally couldn't watch the rest of the show properly I was so bored after that. Disagree immensely, best pre-show of any show, and the last three matches more than made up for the Page shit, and the matches before it were solid too. I think this is better than Fyterfest. I would put it just a bit above Fyter Fest too...but still, another good show from AEW.

There's some kinks to work out like Page and The Dark Order but the pros outweigh the cons

Putting on a show the same night as a charity event for gun violence just to "Stick it to em"? Vince deserves all the jabs he gets.

And according to the dude whoās in charge of evolve, that event was planned a year or so in advance. Way before this one. On top of that, people can easily just watch watch both with streaming being on the come up.

3 shows in and I'm still loving AEW. I'm strongly considering watching these guys exclusively. I don't want to do exclusivity anymore, not with so many games in town, but AEW will probably be my favorite promotion for a while yet. NJPW and such bringing up the rear. Well, I want to have other things to engage in besides just wrestling. I was mostly watching WWE for ease of access, but my enjoyment of it was dwindling and AEW is going to be equally accessible and less of a time commitment. I can still get my wrestling fix without having to sink half of nonworking week into it.

Honestly I'll probably almost never watch WWE after AEW is on on a weekly basis. I just plain don't have it in me anymore to watch a full wrestling show more than once, twice at most in a week and a lot of the time can't even be bothered with that much. After a show like this I could live without seeing any more wrestling for the next two or three weeks.
Really it's the biggest reason why I completely ignore the G1 every year, the idea of trying to watch that matches in a short frame of time sounds so exhausting that the mere idea of it is kind of sickening for me.

Line JR said this past week, just stay in yāalls lane. They can throw shade in interviews, but donāt do it on PPV or TV; Same applies to WWE, and the one time they did, it was literally just mentioning their name. No jabs, no shade, nothing.

Any status on Britt Baker? I genuinely feel bad for her because I could tell she was knocked silly in that tag match which disrupted the flow.

WWE put a show on the same night as them. This is like the perfect time for them to take a jab. But why? There was no need for It. Do I think they should do it every week? Absolutely not. But like Mozenrath said, they intentionally broadcasted another show to compete against them. This isnāt even like āOh, we referenced you, look at usā, this was something they did to hurt them. This is HHH calling them a āpissant companyā on a scale that affects money. Take your shot and move on, Iāll say. Edit: Also I get we have these guys on a much bigger magnifying glass for a variety of reasons but man, if you watch back on anything TNA did even from their first PPV...Codyās one line is tame as hell.

I think the biggest thing going against the 3-way tag, and the Dark Order, was that the offense was split like, 70-20-10 ABAHD, Dark Order, Evans and Angelico. Dark Order didn't really get to do any of their signature spots until the end, Angelico really only got to hit Jungle Boy with the Fall of the Angels, and Jack Evans, the prodigal Flippy Indy Dude, didn't get to do any flippy stuff. It was a great showcase for Jungle Boy and especially Luchasaurus, but the other two teams probably would have benefited more from a straight 1-on-1 tag match.
The Kenny/CIMA match was good, but man, there were just waaaaaaaay too many V-Trigger/Meteora exchanges. I know that's just how they do it in Japan, but they can afford to tone it down like, two or three notches and still put on a great match.
I shouldn't have to say anything about this, but I loved the fact that the commentary team actually, you know, called the damn matches, instead of sniping at each other and talking about things that have nothing to do with what's going on in the ring at the moment. It's amazing that the top wrestling company in the world has become so bad at that particular aspect of their presentation, that I can get excited by a company just doing exactly what is expected of them.
Also, Cody, I love ya, but you need to make like Elsa and let it go. WWE did you dirty, I get it. But taking shots at them every single show isn't gonna do anything but make you, and by proxy the rest of the product, look bush league. Kenny, Luchasaurus and Spears all got raw deals with them before, and they're not going on and on about it. They're just getting in the ring and showing everyone that they don't need "the company up north" to be stars. You can do the same. "The best revenge is living well", and all that.

Dark Order and Adam Page show why you need jobber matches.
Both needed to just destroy shit.

I think one dilemma AEW has is booking predictability. Since the Dark Order have been attacking the Best Friends it stands to reason they have to win a match where the winner gets Best Friends at the next PPV. The problem is that we have to watch the Dark Order. They gotta just job them there and cut bait though....right?
Taking away the preshow from Fyter Fest I probably liked it better since it had more energy and wasn't as insanely long. Look at some of these match times. Who on earth booked Brandi Rhodes to go 11 minutes? They could have done the Kong run in stuff and Brandi cheats to win in 4 minutes. Same thing especially with the now notorious Page match...dear God what was THAT? Hey let's have our #1 contender go 50/50 with some random dude for 19 minutes. I think they were playing with the notion of a time limit since they did the draw last time, but that was 100% not the time for it. Just put Page over with his move in like 6 minutes and move on. No one cares about Sabian right now and this isn't the time to make them care.
Look, they need to quit dicking around and just put the title on Omega out of the gate, or if that's not possible the first TNT show. He's leagues above the rest of this group. For anyone who has followed NJPW or ROH it's so laughably absurd that someone that was basically his JTTS lackey in the Bullet Club is main eventing All Out over him without any particular noteworthy accomplishments to justify it. Page isn't Roman Reigns. He's Tetsuya Naito circa 2013 when Naito just had no heat and was rejected by the crowd.
