I was wondering how long it would take for the IWC to start turning on Becky after the WWE actually gave them what they wanted for once. Never change, guys. By the way, I'm not above having some of these same kinds of quirks myself. I ain't better than you. I've just always been puzzled by the habit of turning on a wrestler as soon as they reach the level you've been wanting them at. It happens a lot, though. Contrarian nature, I guess. I'm not sure that's entirely fair. You can like a wrestler and want them to get to the top but still not entirely like how it's done. Just because you're a fan of someone doesn't mean you have to like everything they do no matter what. I mean she's still my favorite wrestler in the whole company, but even I lost interest a few times in the idea of her winning at WM during the feud with Ronda and Charlotte. Her TV promos have also been a little repetitive lately.

I’ve always hated her bad Stone Cold impression.

It wouldn’t be so bad if she could just cut a damn promo that didn’t sound like disconnected lines stitched together.

Still a fan but the small character tweaks and the bungled storyline going into Mania haven't helped. I'm also not a fan of the Twitter Tough Guy persona she has going on.

She was doing the Twitter tough guy thing when she was a full on dorky babyface, but it was more lighthearted stuff like telling Carmella she was going to be known as Cella because she was taking her arm and the back and forth exchanges with Ellsworth. The worst thing that ever happened to her were the comparisons to Steve Austin, which I ALWAYS disagreed with even as a huge fan of hers.
I'm trying not to pay much attention to the Twitter stuff anymore because while I enjoy most of it, none if it is ever brought up on TV. Ember showed some fire when she replied back to her, but are they going to give Ember that fire on SDL? I doubt it. So it's like why even bother?

I’m not a fan of the current “Smiley The Man” character. The Ronda/Flair/Steph/H/Vince/Mulitple arrests Mania build and match left her character in really bad almost farcical spot. She is practically having to rebuild the character, hence the weird nothing to say/smiling promos.

I think it started bugging me because for a while that's all that was on wreddit. Like a full page of Becky tweets every day. WWE, for me, is just in a weird spot in general because they try to use Twitter for character and storyline advancement but then like you said, it's never (or rarely) brought up on tv. Just makes for a weird disconnect.

I've been a fan of hers for a good while now and a few months ago I was in complete fanboy mode, but WWE did such a horrible job with the Ronda feud that even the hardcore Becky fans lost interest in the WM match.

Looking at her twitter feed, she's only tweeted six times in the last ten days, so she's not using it nearly as much as when she was trying to sell the Wrestlemania match and the injury angle. Probably, as she says in one of those tweets, too busy making both Smackdown and Raw shows.

I'll give her credit for paying attention to what fans are saying and doing what she can to tweak her character for them. They wanted more of her real life dorky persona again so she's been bringing it back out, plus she did those training videos where she was trying to heal her knee "injury" when she knew how tired people were of it.
A bit unrelated, but you know what'd be a great heel move? If someone stole those fan made bracelets she wears and started wearing them, like AJ with Cena's headband.

Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is when she calls Rousey (or anyone) a little weirdo. Sounds a bit too childlike for me given her recent character development. Otherwise, she's great.

The more I think about it now, I really think the Mania build is what cooled off my perception of Becky a bit. I liked her in NXT, I liked the fact that she was the first Smackdown Women's Champ, I liked her goofy pun loving character. Even the beginning of this character with the feud against Charlotte was done really well but somewhere between Bloody Becky and where we are now the writing/character tweaks/booking have kinda let down the great work she was putting in. So I guess my issue isn't the character itself but how it's been handled the last few months.

It happens all the time sadly, but they pretty much watered the character down when they turned her back into a full blown babyface. She's still been able to have some really cool moments since then, just not on a consistent basis like from SummerSlam through November.

I'm honestly surprised we got as much of a tweeter rebel that we got. It's such a break in tradition for women in WWE from "smiley hey-shes-available" babyfaces and bitchy superficial heels.
And she's still the man for me. Although they are blatantly cribbing Conor McGregor something fierce.

You know Vince just does the ‘be a star’ stuff for PR and deep down he loves it that a cyber bully has become one of their most beloved babyfaces.

If her tweeting at the womens division is what you consider cyberbullying, the shit that happens to school kids that actually go through that shit might just melt your face.

They're all in on it (maybe not Ronda). Just a couple days before Becky made fun of Alexa on Twitter and Alexa replied, Alexa did an interview talking about how much she loves Becky's Twitter and how funny she finds it. It's fair for people to say the tweets make them like her character less, but character work is all it is. Anyway, I've always said the one thing they can do to get me to completely turn on Becky is to have Conor McGregor show up and be in her corner for a match. Hopefully that won't happen anytime soon.

Honestly, I just don't think Becky is that good. I don't get it.
But I am in a tiny minority.

I try to be a fan and not a fanboy. I still love Becky. But I can acknowledge that some of the complaints, against her, are valid. And that I may even share some of those same issues. I want to be that way about everything I like.

Nah, Ronda is in on it too. She's just really bad at it. It's all part of the show, and the WWE wouldn't let it continue if it wasn't. I agree about McGregor. That guy is a scumbag who will be looking to grab whatever last vestiges of fame he can.
