What’s un-PC about that line? I'm guessing the monkey part I could see that being an issue with the remake as Simba is voiced by a black guy in that one, but both actors who voiced Simba in the original (Matthew Broderick and JTT) were white.

Not the worst example in the world but their would be some shit about this design today This is why I think they changed Cobra Commander for the live action G.I. Joe movies. If he used the hooded look, it may vaguely remind people of what you point out above. (solution? "Use his face plate mask instead." Sadly I'm not one of the creative geniuses they have working in the movies today, though....EDIT: but TBF, they use the plate in Retaliation, no?)

Seinfeld has aged really well. Despite some things that jump out (Jerry not knowing what an e-mail is, the prices of rent) it really helps the show focused so much on mundane things. Anyway, there are a couple of things that stuck out... 1. George straight up calls Jerry a jerk off in one episode. I think its the one where George goes to the hospital and Jerry jokingly, but really intensely smothers him with a pillow. I'm not sure if you could really call it politically incorrect, but it was surprising to see on Seinfeld. 2. On the subway episode Elaine is going to a lesbian woman as the "best man." She makes small talk with an older woman and this eventually comes out. The older woman acts like Elaine is a weirdo and walks away. With Seinfeld, there is the Puerto Rican Pride Parade episode that got a lot of flak back then. I think it was made ineligible for syndication due to the controversy. I don't think the subplot of one episode involving Kramer being mistaken for someone with developmental disorder would get greenlit today. The bit with George and Jerry feeding one woman lots of tryptophan, knocking her out so they could play with her collectible toys would catch some heat. Kramer and Poppie’s argument over pizza as a metaphor for abortion would probably raise some eyebrows now.

Here is a moment from the 90's that aged HORRIBLY.
Honestly, there are a number of things completely ruined by learning too much about the monsters that made them. I cannot hear a song from R Kelly without imagining him singing it to an underaged girl he is about to urinate on after banging her.
I have similar issues with Michael Jackson, though I envision every one of his songs being sung to an underaged boy. The titles of some of those songs really have disturbing connotations now:
The Way You Make Me Feel You are not alone Don't stop till you get enough Get it Beat it Night Time Lover (yeah, it is a LaToya song but he was involved in writing it and sang on it) P.Y.T (pretty young thing)

Most of Howard Stern's stuff from the 90's. Pretty much everything on the "Rotten New Year's Eve" ppv where Howard spoofed Michael Jackson, as well as Ted Danson & Whoopi Goldberg.

Ted Danson appearing at some benefit with Whoppi Goldberg in blackface and proceeding to drop the N-bomb all night.

Ted Danson appearing at some benefit with Whoppi Goldberg in blackface and proceeding to drop the N-bomb all night. That was actually a Friar's Club roast for Whoopi and she actually helped him write a lot of the material and even referred the makeup artist.

Also, Ted and Whoopi were dating at the time, yep...true story.
And as mentioned, it was at the Friar's Club where you're required to be over the top. I think it was Whoopi's birthday, and it was never meant to get out.
So the photos leaked, and there was no context at first, since this was way before you would have had 500 camera phones at the party.
But blackface was still terrible in the 90s. Blackface has been "Un-PC" for decades.
Two things I still can't believe people do after how many stories we've heard of the past few years:
1) Blackface and 2) Leaving kids in hot cars

In regards to Seinfeld, just the fact Michael Richards is on the show in the first place after several choice comments during his stand up would raise ire.
Probably more late 90s early 00s but Korn and several other bands I listened to using homosexual slurs and such. Unabashedly a fan of nuMetal, among other genres, and can't listen to a lot of my favorite songs from high school anymore without wincing.

The Clayfighters games got pretty racist in the later installments, especially the Nintendo 64 entry. When the base game features a Chinese fry cook with buck teeth, a voodoo priest wearing a loin cloth, and an evil Santa Claus dressed like a sumo wrestler just for the fat jokes, you know the series went in the wrong direction creatively. The Blockbuster exclusive "Tournament Edition" added three midgets that only further slanted the politically incorrect nature of the game. Here's an article on how the series got worse as time went on. www.badgamehalloffame.com/blog/clayfighter-63⅓/

Edit: Though to be fair I'm not blaming Biggie here. He couldn't have known what was going to happen after he died.

Blackface DX mocking The Nation would not go over today. Nor would Buff in blackface mocking Ernest Miller. Hell, I wonder how it fared with Billy Gunn/Kip James going out in black-face mocking D-Von Dudley. But then again, this is TNA we're talking about and it was in the 2000s.

Technically 80s (the manga debuted in the late 80s, and the first season aired in 1989), but I wonder how Ranma 1/2 would be seen if it came out today.
