I'd never heard of actor richard Madden and thought this was a joke answer. For some reason I thought Richard Madden was Richard Whiteley from countdown. Just checked. |

wouldn't even mind IDRIS ELBA now, since he would fit into bonds heritage of half scot half french .....
but since i WON'T be writing the 25th ..... guess i'll stick the next one, where you only know who it REALLY is right at the end?

Thought he was half swiss correct thank you Bond's parents were given as Andrew Bond, from the village of Glencoe, Scotland, and Monique Delacroix, from the canton of Vaud, Switzerland but a bit of retconning ..... CONning being the operative word  he could be from immigrant parentage, since the family story is apparently coming to an end in 25, so it wouldn't be a stretch in narrative ..... and would give a more up to date nuance to the character |

I love Idris Elba, but dude would be 50 or close to it before filming would even start on the next Bond film. I just don’t see any way EON agree to a 1 and done Bond, nor do I see Elba doing multiple films due to his age. He’s basically said the same himself.
That being said, I have no f***ing clue. I’d go with a lesser known like Craig was personally, but I have no idea who. I’d also go someone 30-35 so you can get a few movies out of him

Tom Hiddleston was brilliant in The Night Manager, yet didn't get the massive momentum that Richard Madden is seemingly getting to be Bond.
Hiddleston acts, Madden is just a heartthrob. I dont like him and dont want him to be Bond.

Preferably someone who will stick with the role for awhile. Elba would have been more suitable for the role when Craig took over than he us now. Unless they intend to reboot it again.
