There is one option left for the Terminator franchise, the same option for all failing 80's franchises - the crossover. So what other dying franchises are left out there that Terminator can hitch itself to to see about eeking out another movie or two of significance? And don't say Robocop, that's too easy. More dormant than dying, but...Terminator vs...

I felt that T2 was a perfect way to end the franchise and never had any desire to go see anything that came out after. I agree with the movies but I think that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was really good and a worthy followup to T2. Yes, the Sarah Connor Chronicles were awesome. But I also wish that the future-war storline of Salvation had been continued. That was at least something different than same fn timetravel-plot they done five times now. Salvation is criminally underrated. As for Dark Fates box office: 100k worldwide in its first 2 weeks is still respectable for a piece of crap and more than it deserves. Go woke,go broke

Movie looks like it'll be very unlikely to even do as well as Genisys - being a dud in the US is one thing since that also was, but doing half of what it was expected to in China is probably a franchise-killer.

First few minutes are Mike explaining the timeline/series of movies to Mr. Plinkett. Pretty great.

Just to specify, my point is let's not go down that road here. At all. We don't need it, and that goes for everyone, not just a single poster.

Just retire the series. Let it rest for at least 10 years. We don't need Arnie or Linda Hamilton. Personally, if they do another one I'd ignore this film. Maybe do a tv show, but stop with the shitty sequels.
Aliens and Predator may want to take this advice as well.

What sets T1 and T2 apart, other than the obvious, is the driving, haunting yet fantastic score by Brad Fiedel.
Without it, Terminator films feel flat and like generic action movies.

T1 has a great synth score and T2 has some really wonderful haunting themes in it. I think both match the ones of the films perfectly.

So despite it getting decent reviews, this is going to flop at the box office
Another terminator movie should not be made for 20 years after this

Which led me to Google him to find out what happened to him, since he seemed to have disappeared off the face of the Earth. He retired from scoring movies at 45 to write musicals and open a surf resort. Rad.

{Spoiler}The John Connor being killed by a T-800 model still baffles me honestly. Okay, the end of T2 is supposed to signify the complete and utter elimination of Skynet. I'd like to imagine Sarah and John would've been completely prepared just in case things went south again. Considering they were there went the T-800 self terminated itself into the molten steel. Wouldn't John have freaked out by seeing ANOTHER T-800 coming towards him and gotten his mothers attention immediately?
They could've escaped at some point during that initial confrontation in retrospect.

Just have the next movie be a full 90 minutes of naked Mackenzie Davis.

Well, Jim Cameron admitted they were at each other’s throats during the editing process so this was kind of expected even if the movie was a hit. The movie Miller wanted was apparently much different then what Cameron wanted, and Cameron obviously won out.
