Mox in FCW shown what he could have done on the main roster and he never even came CLOSE to that character. I think the initial Shield break up promo was the closest and the following promos purposely veered from that. And then this recent heel turn was atrocious. Literally the worst material you could give a new heel and they give it to him.

Literally the worst material you could give a new heel and they give it to him. He was too good at the comedy stuff for his own good, because it seemed like that's all they were having him do at one point. His promos swearing revenge on Seth for turning on him and Roman and Kingpin WWE Champion Ambrose gave us glimpses of what we could've gotten and all of that was great. There was also the stuff he was doing in the build up to his WM match with Brock, but...yeah...

Yet another guy with unlimited potential stuck in a company too stupid to correctly utilize it.

How they thought having him wear a gas mask, a fur goat and telling people they smell was good material for a heel, I’ll never know.
You hear stories about Vince tearing up scripts and shooting down ideas. You’re telling me he read the script that said “Ambrose will get injections in his ass” and thought “GODDAMN IT PAL, THATS GENIUS”?
If so, he deserves everything he gets.

I like to think that Roman has something to do with his non-burial.
Wasn't he being set up to be buried by Nia Jax but then that suddenly stopped with no explanation?

The fur coat was the only thing about his heel turn I actually liked.

yeah, Dean/Mox was pretty continuously the most over man in the company and the WWE just never treated him that way.
and the less said about the you people ass injection heel run the better.

I wonder... what do you guys think the final straw for Ambrose was?
I’d guess how they handled the heel turn. But that time they used Roman’s real life cancer to get heat wouldn’t surprise me.

Where does the heel turn rank among all time failed turns? I think it has to be way up there on the list. The turn itself was great IMO and it looked like we were going to have an awesome feud that'd carry over into WM, then the next week Seth came out pretty much no selling the DDT on the floor, and from there it became a total disaster.

I do think that was it. You could just see the motivation he had when he returned and that happened and it was gone. Jericho said he was going to be on his podcast this Wednesday so hopefully he can shed some light on it

Also, I'm glad we can pretty much unamiously agree that Dean heel turn sucked. It seemed like a bad idea when it happened and it somehow ended up far more detrimental than I could have imagined.

I mean, shit, dude went from “Yeah, back on the road with the lads and my woman, in the best shape of my career, let’s make some money” to “...I’m f***ing over this ish” in the space of, what, six months? I’m trying to think here, who threw him out of the Rumble? I think it was like Ali or Black or someone like that, but him in that match, the weird spot after the heel run was called dead in the water but before Reigns had come back so they hadn’t actually turned him back yet for the last Shield run... I’d never seen him look so inconsequential.

You’re telling me he read the script that said “Ambrose will get injections in his ass” and thought “GODDAMN IT PAL, THATS GENIUS”? If so, he deserves everything he gets. Nah, Vince didn't read the script that said Ambrose would get ass injections. Vince read the script and said they should put in a bit about Ambrose getting ass injections, the entire writers room awkwardly laughed because they didn't want to get fired, and then Vince fell asleep in his chair for five minutes and everyone sat really still knowing he'd wake up and they'd have to pretend he didn't actually just fall asleep because you get fired for telling the boss he's mortal.
