Sounds like they've just went and remade the first one.

I think they're going with the: "It's Matrix all the way down" theory

Alright, just like the new Spider-man and Flash movie, I say we go totally apeshit with this one. Bring in some aliens and werewolves and guys with pumpkins for heads and all manner of other oddities. They can all just be random glitches or viruses in the Matrix.

I'm so hyped for this, I'm eerily calm about it.

The original Matrix is the only Wachowskis movie I really liked so I'm not that jazzed about this. Though I probably liked Revolutions more than most, mostly for the "real world" fights between the humans in those mechs and the machines. Those are underrated action scenes IMO. You could definitely see the anime influence in the Matrix fights in that movie, too. Plot was dumb as hell by that point, though.

Looks like they learned from what people hated about Reloaded and Revolutions and went back to the roots as much as possible, I'll give it a watch.

I don't care how good the trailer looks, I still can't imagine this movie being anything other than an utter train wreck.

It looks fantastic but holy shit I cannot imagine the train wreck of a story this is about to be.
My only guess everyone is in a constant reboot...they live out their life one way ,the matrix reboots and it just begins again wiping all previous data clean and starting fresh but ...surprise monkey wrench someone begins to remember and question things.

Y'know Honestly I don't mind, give me all the Matrix charm even the philosophical 10 minute speeches about pseudo-algorithmic-code-science babble. I love the world building of the franchise and am kind of looking forward to this... pity no Hugo Weaving but can't have everything I guess.

I lost all sympathy for the humans in this franchise once I found myself agreeing with Cypher. The real world was simply too shitty to fight for. The Matrix would have been preferable. This opinion was further supported by the horrible second movie when Zion was shown and it seemed to be filled with ravers and pseudo philosophers. It was like a giant student union.

I stumbled on to early screening spoilers and either they’re taking the best approach or the worst. There is no in-between lol
I’m still a Matrix mark so I can’t help getting excited but..I think this is going to be a nice, albeit superfluous, addition to the franchise.

The Architect flat out tells Neo that's how things are done in the second one, then offers him the chance to choose the people who will start the new "resistance" once the machines destroy Zion. Instead Neo walks out to go save Trinity and ultimately end the war... I guess... Anyways, I think it appears to be a great looking movie, but so was Jupiter Ascending and that movie sucked. Trying to keep an open mind but I'm not that stoked.
