Who do we think Liger's match on the 5th will be? Phantasmo? Ultimo? Despy? Due to a clerical error, it's going to be El-P of Run the Jewels.

So we have:
1/4 - Okada/Ibushi, White/Naito, Ospreay/Hiromu, Liger Retirement Match #1 1/5 - IWGP/IC, Tana/Jericho, Liger Retirement Match #2
Plus R3K vs. ELP/Ishimori at some point in those two days, and obviously matches for the NEVER and Heavyweight Tag Titles.
I'd love to see KENTA defend against Shibata, but now I'm thinking it will be Goto getting the shot. Basically getting payback for costing him the IC title, plus revenge on behalf of his best friend.
For Liger's second retirement match, my guess is Liger vs. Hiromu. Takahashi has mentioned how he forever wants his legacy to be intertwined with Liger's legend, and Liger has responded that he wanted Hiromu to get better so they could have one final match. So perhaps Hiromu beats Ospreay, and grants Liger an IWGP Jr. title match as his final bout. Basically letting the greatest Junior of all-time get a chance to ride off as champion.

Yeah, the NEVER title needs some of the old guard back as seen with Ishii winning it and I would guess Goto wins it back at WK. He did a damn good job with that title but they never really gave him a chance to rise up after losing it last year

Especially if KENTA gives Mox a mocking anime idol nickname like he did Ishii. There was nothing mocking about #TOMO, KENTA was just speaking the honest truth about NJPW's biggest dreamboat.

Okada wasn't kidding - they're having another poll to ask fans about WK:

If Naito two belts is the plan then the only logical opponents he should have are White and Okada.
White's been an unrelenting douche to him all year.
Okada is the obstacle he can't beat.
Problem is they want Ibushi to be the next ace. So, I don't think it would be prudent for him be odd man out in a 4 man angle.
And selfishly, I REALLY don't want to see Ibushi and Naito again. Both men seem to leave their brains at home when working with each other.

So, I don't think it would be prudent for him be odd man out in a 4 man angle. Ibushi really isn't the NEXT anything, he is a lot older than he looks and wrestles a style that if it doesn't catch up to him at some point will always seem like it will. Ibushi deserves a moment in the dome or at least a moment on top of the mountain and this seems like the year, but if this is Naito's story, Ibushi ends up on the outside looking in and that is okay.

It makes no sense to do it and not give it to Naito. If they do, then I'll really want to know if something's up. The story is tailor made for him to work his way back up after losing the title to White but I just can't put it past Gedo to have him lose in the 1st night to White or take another L in the last night to Okada Naito is the one who really can't afford the L. Fans are still going to love him but that pop of him winning the title dwindles every time he does not accomplish the goal and eventually it is not going to be satisfying when he does. If he wins this, this completes Naito journey and you can finally put that too bed and there won't be anymore complaints about him in the Nakamura role as it will be time for Ibushi to get his time up top with a run
