I like Yoshi Tatsu, but that was not a great era for him. It wasn't exactly doing him any favors that the other hunters were Billy Gunn and f***ing Captain New Japan.
EDIT: oops, Billy Gunn, not "Billy Clubb", I was still waking up.

GOD keeping the tag titles hostage for the last 2 years
EVIL/SANADA never really got the run they should had gotten tho in fairness the 158 days they had the title is the 2nd longest run with them since 2015 (the 1st being now with GOD at 260 plus days). However, in those 158 days they defended the titles twice.
In the grand scheme of things, they lost the titles to the now HW Young Bucks and then lost their 2nd reign to GOD a month after WK. EVIL had a good 2018 with beating Okada and SANADA had a very good 2019 with his few matchups against Okada including a W

The tag division in NJPW is kind of a mess. Though well-booked tag team divisions seem to be the exception to the rule anymore.

Letting Omega torpedo his own title reign by letting him book himself against his friends in matches the home audience didn’t give a shit about.

not having a women's division Nah. That is not a lol. Their brand is men's wrestling. They have enough issues making room for talent. But bushi road purchased stardom because western fans demand a womans division for shows. I mean putting western ideals on an eastern product is not cool. But bushi road listened and now own stardom. So i guess. Also fandom of stardom is mostly lonely weird otaku types. The ones that go to idol shows and all that The fanbase of new japan. Females 18-55 who love handsome manly men The fanbase of freedoms and big japan. Mostly office workers and salarymen. Who like watching hardcore to blow off steam Watch the wrestlers really enlightening For me the biggest lolnjpw is putting chyna in main events with chono Also look at how new japan film the women. From brandi to maria to yujiro's hooooo train lots of ass and between the leg shots I do not expect wokeness from wrestling. The way they objectify the women makes me not want the new japan crew to film stardom or stardom guest matches Would be cool if stardom gets a trios title match at wrestle kingdom though since it is two nights

Nobody gave an absolute f*** about him vs Cody and no f***ing way should Cody been added to the match with him and Ibushi That pissed me off. What fans do not get is foreigner vs foreigner matches only play well in smaller smarkier buildings. Nobody would give a shit about juice ve omega. Nobody cared about cody vs kenny. Nobody really cared about the young bucks in japan. Cody got heat with ibushi. Imagine if he worked Tanahashi, Naito, or even Taichi. He probably would have had done better. Western audiences cared about the elite. Japanese audiences wanted to see kenny fight the main army. I mean kenny vs elgin was just sort of okay in the states and in japan. Ishii vs omega was gangbusters in the us and japan. JAPANESE care more about seeing their homegrown japanese guys For foreigners to be over in new japan they have to be great workers or great showmen and fight people the crowd cares about. Jericho and Moxley are the exception to this because both know what it takes to main event

Nakamura hoarding the IC Belt. Until he left (without putting anyone over and winning in his final match) you had to go back to 2013 and another country to find a match with it that didn't involve him as champion or challenger.
Goto never has recovered from losing it to him. That was the start of him becoming the whipping boy of New Japan.

People treating the ic title as if it equals the wwe ic belt. When it is the universal title.

NJPW fans did not like Cody and thought OMEGAs feud was a time waster and Im sad Omega pissed away his reign for this feud

Ehhh, nah it is more like the IC belt of WWF It is important but it is not the World title equivalent, just a step below

Goto never has recovered from losing it to him. That was the start of him becoming the whipping boy of New Japan. That second Goto reign was weird. He beat Nakamura for it, then after defending it against him again it seemed like he was set for a decent reign. But then he loses to Nakamura at the G1 and drops the belt right back to him. What was the point? Did they get cold feet halfway through that Goto wouldn't draw as champion? It really seemed to set him back, when it had ironically done a decent job of setting him up initially.

EVIL and SANADA could have done more, and I like both guys more than GoD, but I feel like they also have moved past the tag team. SANADA probably should be vying for the IC title instead. But then you have the recurring problem of the HW tag title division being utterly barren. If it wasn't for the fact they'd bury the shit out of the Jr.s, I'd kinda thing they should merge the two tag scenes.

They are getting tagged for conveyance but I do not want to see them win. SANADA should be moving on to the IC title while you can get EVIL back into the NEVER scene or if you really want to run him back in a tag, then him and Shingo can have a small run Ideally Roppongi 3K would have been HW's and getting the titles this year but they don't want to make that jump because you have plans for both guys as singles in the Juniors division especially Sho who has Ace potential

The first Bone Soldier being Captain New Japan.
If deciding the new leader came down to who recruited the better Bone Soldier than: Tama Tonga>Kenny Omega.
