Brock ruins everything he's part of. (Yep, still mad about Ambrose). I'm pleased they're trying something new with Drew, but that doesn't negate that such a large period of the Rumble was a waste of time/effort/people who aren't Lesnar. Ambrose was a skinny goober with a terrible moveset during the period he faced Bork

I just don’t get looking over a roster that stacked and deciding to waste so many slots and make so many with something to offer look so bad.
Waste of time, five slots that added nothing. 1/6th of the field: Roode Anderson and Gallows – Fine if they actually helped AJ do something of note Corbin Elias
Wasted Morrison, Cesaro, Nakaumra, Miz, Riddle. Rowan, MVP
Ziggler category – Ziggler Forever idiots - Braun, Lee, Shelton
Not in match but could have offered something Andrade, Big Show, Buddy Murphy, Lashley, Rusev, Ali, Sheamus, Zayn, Shorty G, Finn Balor NXT- Dream , Ciampa, Gargano, Dunne,Walter etc Various jobbers people actually like to do an underdog spot with Brock , Truth, Slater etc (Fair enough not using Legends/part-timers)

I loved it.
Really liked Brocks reaction when Keith Lee came out.
Absolutely LOVED Edges face during his entrance. Did you guys see how much this shit meant to him?
I tend not to get too caught up with things and just appreciate the positives. There's always another day for our favourites. Wrestlings a lot funner this way.

I said in the thread that the first half is exactly how I play Rumbles in No Mercy. I have often criticized wrestling games for not often getting across a story in matches, but I suppose if my gameplay has been adapted into something that has actually been booked, my idea of what wrestling is has come into question. Did you ever hug a buddy then turn on him and throw him over the top rope?

I don't think I said it earlier, I thought the whole thing with Brock went way too long but Brock himself was highly entertaining His facial expressions after each entrant was fun Brock has a really weird charisma, and the Rumble was the perfect way to showcase that. He seemed to have a different reaction for every entrant Helps he's one of the most bizarre looking humans on planet earth

Between that spot, Alexa and Nikki, Team Hell No, and Best Friends, hugs are too prevalent in wrestling in the past half decade or so. We need a hug button in games now.

Seeing people defending the choices as being good makes me realize even more WWE aint for me./ Some reviewers loving the rumble too.
Where good means sacrificing the whole roster for the sake of one / two person.
Where making wrestlers look like chumps is good because it is a " heel move" and it will be memorable how you didnt get the guys you wanted.
Doesnt help the top two faces are reigns and Drew two guys I find absolute bores.

I hated it. Seeing Kofi, Nakamura, Cesaro and especially Morrison get treated like that was really aggravating. Then Richochet didn't get much to do either and Styles fell out of the ring randomly..
The ending stretch felt like 2015 with Rollins and co eliminating the only interesting guys- Black, Joe Owens ala Kane and Big Show.

I enjoyed it a lot. The Brock stuff was frustrating and went on too long, but the payoff was fantastic and the rest of the Rumble was a lot of fun.

Agreed. All those Kofi's , Big E's and Mysterio's were bunch of losers w/ dilemmas which will only do harm for themselves. Sometimes you'll have to quit in life, not everybody are John Cena. (He's much stronger of a persona.) e: Forgot to add that Ricochet ain't the wisest of the grapes.

The more I think about it the more I really liked it. There was a few folks who got some shine against Brock, but it was that dominance coupled with the decisive way he went out that had me reacting to McIntyre for the first time ever. Throw in him eliminating Roman last and there’s another way to get a good chunk of the crowd on his side.
WWE just seems to be on autopilot much of the time, but the way they booked this match has got me interested in McIntyre for basically the first time ever. I thought it was really well done.

I've been pretty on/off with comments tonight, but if I can be lil' serious for a minute tonight: there's buttloads of reasons why that Lesnar appearance was cooler than any vs. Finn Balor stuff (it was cool too) in ages. First of all, there was bundle of matches that WWE never would give us. Second of all. He worked as much as Alexa and Bianca in their match. That was cool. - Michael Cole

I thought it was terrible with Brock tossing everyone but then I started to get it, they were building to his elimination being a huge deal, not the "What do you expect, he's been in since the beginning?" deal. It isn't like anyone he tossed was going to win it. My fear was that it was going to be someone like Roman or Orton that tossed him. I don't particularly like Drew as the next star, but at least they are making someone new. I would have preferred someone like Cesaro (I know Brock eliminated him) but I'm a huge Cesaro mark and have been since he was in the Kings of Wrestling.
I liked Edge coming back and Rated RKO spots (can't believe that is now nostalgia).

My problem with the Brock half wasn’t that it was just Brock steamrolling everyone, it is that they also made many of them, particularly many of the credible threats to Brock look like dumbasses. Like why the holy hell were Braun and Keith fighting each other when they knew Brock was a bigger fish to fry? If they teamed up their size and speed combo should have been enough to beat him. Thats one thing that bothered me. At that point, Brock should've been worn down because of that and have the ring fill up with more guys. And I would've done it around numbers 8 to 10. Have Brock throw one or two more guys out(lets say Cesaro and/or John Morrison) and then keep the Ricochet/Drew Mcintyre double team spot when it happened. I didn't mind Brock dominating, but it was a little on the long side and the ring didn't really start to fill up until after he was eliminated, which I get in preparation to putting whoever was going to eliminate him over, but it could've been better executed. The second part was okay, nothing special but it was somewhat salvaged by Edge's return and Drew Mcintyre's win.

I loved it. Really liked Brocks reaction when Keith Lee came out. Absolutely LOVED Edges face during his entrance. Did you guys see how much this shit meant to him? No, because WWE were too busy switching between seizure inducing crowd shots. ... okay, I'll give them this. When we did actually get to see Edge's face, it was fricking heartwarming. After the way he had to bow out first time, this visibly was a HUGE moment for him.
