I have many thoughts 1. Holy shit Bryan Alvarez's hair Funny story there - he was on the Jericho Cruise and was quoted a figure for what he thought were getting those braids done... it was actually PER BRAID, and he ended up having to pay $130.

"to whoever these guys are" lmao I guess it's time to pretend Alvarez is a nobody I've always thought of Alvarez as the dude people get when Meltzer's too busy doing other stuff. He also has a terrible radio voice, imo. I think the voice is great, not the usual low pitch voice, but easy to hear and understand. Loved listening After Dark while going sleep! e: Many others (like the dude in local karaoke) can't do the over the top voice, it starts to be very irritating...

I expected him to say some absolutely horrible shit the minute I saw that hair but then he didn't and I was shocked.

Yea, pick your words better Calling someone a MF'er or idiot is out of line and she has a right to feel a way in that regard Exactly, I don’t really get how you could criticise her for this. She doesn’t complain about their comments (she says they don’t have to like her or what she does) she just says that the insulting names were mean and disrespectful...which they are!! Wrestling media is so bloody miserable most of the time. And the thing is, it wasn’t my favourite spot of all time, but it was pretty freaking easy to understand. If they were just complaining about it being convoluted that’d be one thing, but the level of their complaining is just like...do you ever watch wrestling? Lol. Mustafa Ali’s response was pretty good: My biggest complaint with the whole spot was that she was obviously being directed when to do what. Isn’t this the observer? I would have thought they’d twig on to that.

I said it was stupid when it happened. I even said "she should just sit down and milk the fact that she can't get eliminated from that spot with everyone in the ring and show that she's smart enough to get a rest." It took so long that I thought they were going to do something even dumber and "forget" she wasn't eliminated even though she was clearly right in front of them standing on the table.

Wait, they said this year was the worst women’s Rumble yet? I think this year was the best women’s Rumble yet. I agree, I actually think the match has gotten progressively better with each year.

On the subject of Naomi at the Rumble, I saw the clip of her entrance and spots with Charlotte getting a lot of attention on Twitter from people who mentioned not even watching wrestling but wanting to know more about her and thinking that she's cool. I think she has huge crossover appeal that they've barely tapped into.

Wait, they said this year was the worst women’s Rumble yet? I think this year was the best women’s Rumble yet. Yeah of the super long list to choose from the first was probably the worst. Due to the constant faux ring clearing. Also didn't Naomi jump to the stairs on one of them?

She's able to tap into the mainstream unlike most talents. She's dope.

Another thing is that I dunno why people are yelling at Alvarez for saying those things when he wasn't the one who actually said them. It was uh, the guy with the messy hair and the glasses whoever that was.

I have many thoughts 1. Holy shit Bryan Alvarez's hair 2. This is duuumb. Like, surprised to be defending F4W, but there's not one thing being talked about there that isn't about what a *wrestling character* was doing on a wrestling show. I'm kinda wondering how many people actually watched the clip if I'm being honest. I can't imagine taking Bryan super seriously. Granted, this is coming from someone who is familiar with him, but while his tone might be a bit acerbic, he's just really hyperbolic. I can't foresee a situation when "MINUS FIVE STARS!" guy is going to hurt my feelings,

I mean, Bryan Alvarez is a notorious idiot so I'm all for people calling him out on it.
Same goes for Dave.

No one actually watches the things we criticize anymore, that would just be silly and eat into our time we spend criticizing the next thing.

Slightly off top but not really....when they do these crazy "ha I survived" spots, am I the only one wondering why the guys in the ring don't just go under the bottom rope to eliminate them? I mean she was barely hanging on to the barrier, such an easy elimination

Welp like clockwork this seems like it is gonna just keep escalating Dave really should have just kept his mouth shut. He does not have a great track record with talking to women and this will go left fast

It's not particularly egregious, but it's just a bad look.
It's the worst side of internet fandom - people who think the stupider things in wrestling are embarrassing, but will glady watch dorks (with dreads ffs) joylessly dissect it from a literal basement.
Also, I've never understood why they don't do more with Naomi. For someone who hasn't been well booked, isn't a great talker and didn't have a big indie/NXT career, she's largely always been over.

It's Bryan's friend Mark, who for some reason I cannot comprehend, is on their post-Rumble shows every year despite not really contributing anything of value.
