Another thing is that I dunno why people are yelling at Alvarez for saying those things when he wasn't the one who actually said them. It was uh, the guy with the messy hair and the glasses whoever that was. It's Bryan's friend Mark, who for some reason I cannot comprehend, is on their post-Rumble shows every year despite not really contributing anything of value. And spending a good amount of time talking about how he doesn't watch wrestling anymore, which makes his inclusion all the more baffling.

I have many thoughts 1. Holy shit Bryan Alvarez's hair 2. This is duuumb. Like, surprised to be defending F4W, but there's not one thing being talked about there that isn't about what a *wrestling character* was doing on a wrestling show. I'm kinda wondering how many people actually watched the clip if I'm being honest. I can't imagine taking Bryan super seriously. Granted, this is coming from someone who is familiar with him, but while his tone might be a bit acerbic, he's just really hyperbolic. I can't foresee a situation when "MINUS FIVE STARS!" guy is going to hurt my feelings, He's quite literally done nothing in this case though. The guy who said the things being focused on here was some dude with shaggy hair and glasses.
I absolutely did not expect to be defending anything involving F4W and women at the same time but I think this borders on clickbait.

"to whoever these guys are" lmao I guess it's time to pretend Alvarez is a nobody I've always thought of Alvarez as the dude people get when Meltzer's too busy doing other stuff. He also has a terrible radio voice, imo. Basically if David Cross watched wrestling.

Welp like clockwork this seems like it is gonna just keep escalating I was going to talk about his lack of reading comprehension because I thought he was talking about Naomi (and she was incredibly civil about their opinions) but, to be fair to him, it turns out it was actually a reference to Carmella:

Oh, sure, it's just one of the other dudes, and people are twisting it since Bryan's the notable one, I was more speaking generally. At least he and his buds here are even really talking about the women's stuff much at all. That's never been Meltzer's strong suit.

Other examples of WWE taking to critics and fans?
I recently referenced Cedric's burial, that apparently wasn't a burial because he was able to wrestle AJ Styles. And lose. Often. Quickly. Without revenge. He was also worse off following the storyline to the point where he was not in the Rumble.
There was Graves/Mauro.
What else?

Welp like clockwork this seems like it is gonna just keep escalating Dave really should have just kept his mouth shut. He does not have a great track record with talking to women and this will go left fast Yeah, he has said some really horrible stuff over the years. Like the time he was talking about a Japanese wrestler who was the victim of domestic violence and described it as "just one of those things" because the accuser was a male wrestler he rated highly. Or the things he would call Nicole Bass or any women with breast implants. That's why I wasn't surprised when the Peyton Royce thing happened. He's always been like that. And not regarding just women, but not long ago he said that calling wrestling fans marks was just like calling black people the n word. Like, come on man.

At the end of the day it’s just a bunch of middle aged men complaining about wrestling. It’s not like they are discussing world peace or whatever. Wrestlers getting upset at them over nothing (I listened to this before it blew up and I didn’t think ‘woah that’s really nasty’ it just sounded like every other show of theirs I’ve listened to) it’s just dumb. Also people snitch tagging on twitter to get a reaction are also dumb. The world is dumb.

Roman Reings saying his critics are jealous and they cant critic him because they have never done it.

Simple statements like agreeing with the company gets you labeled a corporate ass. Just like wrestlers get in their feelings, fans do too. That really should be the end of it
