Degeneration-X single-handedly destroyed the evil WCW empire with a tank... "A tank". Which to everyone else on earth looks like a military jeep.

This comes up in many threads but Stone Cold taking off like a rocket immediately after KOTR ‘96 and the company being completely behind Austin right then as their next star So much so that Austin wrestled a meaningless 2 minute PRE SHOW match with Yokozuna at SummerSlam 2 months after. A match that Austin won only because Yoko was so fat that he broke the ring. Because that's how you book a guy when you strap a rocket to him. Have him get a fluke win during the pre show of the second or third biggest show of the year. I rewatched a few 96 WWF ppv's a couple years ago and it was clear Austin was floundering after the KOTR until the Bret feud in the fall. Even HHH who was "eating shit" at the time won the IC belt during this time that Austin was supposedly the next big thing and in reality was doing nothing.

Remember when they had Cena act like CM Punk was being a cowardly champion for all of his run when he was the complete opposite? I'll never forget that. Early on, Punk faced off against quite the cowardly lineup himself; at TLC, the Miz and Del Rio worked together to handcuff him to the turnbuckle, and during their feud, Chris Jericho openly mocked his family's history with substance abuse to crawl under his skin. But, no; he's now a heel because he got tired of giving John Cena and DWAYNE the spotlight, so he was always the chickenshit from Day One.

I had no idea WWE were currently giving Ambrose / Moxley the Benoit treatment. Sad and petty but that's WWE in a nutshell.

WWE using Doink as an example of the "cartoonish" WWF of the pre-Attitude era. While the Ray Apollo babyface Doink certainly qualifies, the original heel Doink played by Matt Borne was definitely not a child-friendly cartoon character.

I mean to be fair, she did accuse triple H of child molestation If Stephanie was 12 years old in 1999 as someone else in this thread mentioned wouldn't that make Chyna correct? No, but seriously Chyna accused HHH of what???!!!! And why???!!! I forget the exact comment but I thought she was just saying he was small between the legs, but the wording she used made people think she was calling him a child molester. Anyways there are a lot from WCW nowadays but a lot of the time it is overstated how misused a lot of talent was in WCW

I'm seriously completely in the dark on all this. I know Seth has a reputation as some kind of big crybaby on Twitter but I don't pay attention to any of it.

Chyna was pretty much her own worst enemy. Sometimes people leave you no choice but to stand back and watch the train wreck unfold.
The women's revolution was pretty much a flash in the pan. Beyond the lack of lingerie crap and the word diva, things are not much different.

Seth was asked about Moxley in some interview and he said something about how he's with the competition and now trying to take food off his table. It was at a time when Seth was in prime Vince sockpuppet mode.

I remember when Molly Holly returned during the first womens rumble Cole talked her up as someone who broke down steriotypes of womens wrestlers when in reality they treated her like a joke. Her character from 2002 to 2004 essentially amounted to fat, sexually frustrated virgin.

If Bret hadn't requested to face him, odds are Austin would've been released by the Royal Rumble. I think Yoko was actually suppose to win that match but then the ropes broke.
And yeah, closing thing HHH was to being punished for the Curtain Call was losing to Jake Roberts. He got a World Title shot against Michaels on Raw during it.

That was before the CC. From May-October, he lost on Raw to Roberts, Sid, and Barry Windham along with a count-out loss to Freddie Joe Floyd.

Heel Doink was basically The Fiend, but without the creepy lighting and Fun House.

Remember when they had Cena act like CM Punk was being a cowardly champion for all of his run when he was the complete opposite? Not WWE...but when Sting turned heel in 1999 and his change to the Crow gimmick was his evil side coming out all along.
