I’m listening to a podcast interview Reinke did and he said that Jeff got into a fistfight with Joe’s fourth husband.

I want to buy a JoeExotic.tv hat and shave my face to look like his...and then blame Carole Baskin for everything during my Zoom meetings. But my damn girlfriend won't let me shave my face.
Time to break up with THAT DAMN CAROLE BASKIN!

I'm watching the third episode now... hell this series has more turns than Kane and Big Show combined.

It's nice to see that John Findlay is in such better shape than he was in the original interviews. I actually do agree with Jeff Lowe that its ridiculous that people think Joe was somehow set up.

Yeah from every interview I've seen with Jeff he seems to say he thinks stuff with him was overblown a bit since you need a villain, but he understands. Shady guy for sure but any interview since the film with most people (including Jericho with James Garretson) all come down to this... they felt he was gonna get in trouble eventually

In other random news, Tim Stark who was helping Jeff Lowe build the new zoo had his license revoked for violations and animal abuse according to the USDA. I guess the license was revoked back in Feb but he appealed and was denied

Just binged this all in one sitting. Feel like I need a shower.
I think the comments attempting to equivocate Carole and Joe, or more specifically trying to equivocate Big Cat Rescue and GW Zoo, are completely asinine. Baskin's organization does legitimately good work, taking in animals that can't survive in the wild and trying to give them a good life. Exotic's zoo not only bred and sold endangered animals but abused and unnecessarily killed them as well. And in terms of personality, Baskin is at best a weirdo yuppie and at worst a complete whacko (and possible murderer if you believe circumstantial evidence) while Exotic plies damaged young men with drugs to get into relationships with him and is in jail for attempting to arrange a murder. There's legitimately no comparison, and I think the only reason people are even attempting to do so is that Exotic is charismatic and totally off-the-wall, while Baskin alternates between eccentric and smug with little middle ground. Though having said that, as much of a psychotic cartoon as Exotic is, Lowe and Antle seem significantly worse.
Beyond that, this was an engrossing train wreck of a show. Grimy and sad but weirdly captivating all the same.

Set up? No. Joe was going down at some point But I do think there was a clear orchestration to catch Joe sooner then later and people like Jeff played their part to get everything in line while in the process saving their own ass

I don't think Joe was set up as such, he was just given enough rope to hang himself with.

Set up? No. Joe was going down at some point But I do think there was a clear orchestration to catch Joe sooner then later and people like Jeff played their part to get everything in line while in the process saving their own ass I mean looking at it from Jeff and James' perspectives, if you KNEW one of your business associates had paid someone to kill a business rival, and he'd talked to you personally about it, you'd pretty much HAVE TO go to the police with it or else he'd bring you down with him for not reporting it. But Jeff is basically the one that put it out there tho and set up the connection. Up until that point Joe was just all talk and said it so much that it was basically a joke. Once he had the vehicle to go through with it, he did not hesitate tho Joe was already f***ed due to the bank fraud. James became an informant to solidify all of that since Joe was destroying records and once James told Jeff, he joined in as well. Jeff even admits as such that he basically helped push him over the edge. As said it was giving Joe the rope to hang himself. He was already f***ed but there was def an effort to build as solid case on him as possible and people played their parts to do so
