Only thing that bugs me about getting groceries from Target online is you can't get refrigerated items but I fully understand why just annoying that I gotta go in and get half and half for my coffee

Florida plans on reopening next week even if it’s something as small as allowing elective surgeries to resume.
The governor also wants school to resume this year if possible against the wishes of all the teachers associations. It’s two weeks Ron...let it go.

I expected a rebellion by the public the longer this lasted, but I expected it around late May or June if this was still going on by then. April 18 seems way too early in the process. The series of Tweets by Trump last night regarding certain states is just going to empower the people who want to open everything back up, and it's a very dangerous game he's playing. Thankfully I think NY/NJ leaders will not give in to Trump so I'm not worried about my general area (yet....ask me again in June), but some of the other states? I'm not so sure.

My mother seems to empathize with the protesters so I can see this becoming a big point of contention with her and I over her wanting life to get back to somewhat normal and my not obliging her

There were protests here in Cali in Huntington Beach for crying out loud lol Yesterday, as careful and thorough as my Mothers dialysis center is, they were notified of the first person diagnosed with the virus.. Whether it’s a patient or employee, who knows, but scary stuff.

Follow the idiots and expose herself to a killer virus, or continue to associate with you.

Yup and TMZ has photos from Jacksonville and they’re already packing the beaches. Because of course they are.

Florida's going to be the new hotspot for this thing and they did it to themselves.
Apparently, you have to be extremely obese for it to play in as a risk factor for COVID-19 being more serious. Like, a BMI of over 40.

It snowed here today (Boston) three inches total. Upping the misery index again. I’d rally around some warm weather to at least be able to sit outside

Have already argued with her once over not wanting to go to a store, after we'd already gone to one a couple days before (where she did NOT socially distance and kept getting too close to people and striking up conversations).

Still no new cases out of the 26 so far here. 70 pending tests out of the 2000+ so far

There are anti-lockdown protests being held across the US and even here in Canada. This just...it both angers and befuddles me. Paranoia and misinformation are dangerous enough individually, but together, they can prove to be lethal. I'm hoping the people involved in these protests either spontaneously develop common sense, or, in the worst-case scenario, I hope local authorities can take whatever measures are necessary to protect the public, up to and including arrest. How dare you badmouth these "modern day Rosa Parks".

So yeah even a few days of mild weather might help just a little.

I'd really like some consistently warm weather even if my allergies would probably hate it.

So one of the economists/strategists that is tapped to be on the counsel to open the country...Stephen Moore...told the Washington Post that the stay-at-home protesters are a modern day Rosa Parks. 🤦♂️
“I think there's a boiling point that has been reached and exceeded. I call these people the modern-day Rosa Parks -- they are protesting against injustice and a loss of liberties."
For f***s sake...

Made that trip to Wallyworld a bit ago and...
Okay, I'm in one of the four Texas zips with the highest rate of cases and deaths and seeing this was...I dunno. It wasn't "Saturday afternoon" busy for a Dallas city Walmart, more like a Wednesday morning crowd, but we're still talking hundreds of people in the store. No crowd limit, no one-way aisles, nothing. Just people everywhere. And counted over 100 of them without masks before I got out of there.

Michigan has already indicated they may start slowly opening things back up on May 1 and they're one of the states he mentioned. Meanwhile, Wisconsin is doubling down and extending their order to the end of May, and as my previous post on the subject indicated, it is a hugely unpopular decision here.

And these idiots also cry when people call them racist, tone deaf, and insensitive. They don't really leave any evidence to the contrary when they say stuff like this. This asshole also screwed himself out of other positions when he wrote a bunch of columns about how women ruin sports and all other kinds of bullshit. But no, please keep touting him as a "great mind" in 2020.
