Here's Triple H weighing in on why they are doing what they are doing...
Edit - glad to see H joining us in adopting the stay at home hobo look.

Got curious, so asked Meltz on something: As much of a scumbag as he is, atleast he has the balls to go to these shows, while other fellow CEOs want their employees to get back to work while they work remotely

This normally would be commendable but Vince is a lunatic and will literally do anything if it helps him financially.

Safest guess is Morrison given the health scare involving Miz.

Safest guess is Morrison given the health scare involving Miz. I don't think we should take "John" as anything but "John Doe" as a way to keep said person anonymous even with the obvious connections. To add to this, though, "John" said that despite the sanitation standards, there are no social distancing guidelines at shows even before they step into the ring so he's asking the government to shut down the tapings so they can adhere to stay-at-home orders.

I dont think its a wrestler because wrestlers were given an opition to stay athime. It must be a camera person or other staff at the PC

That's a brave and likely soon to be fired staffer.

We will probably never know. Because the government isn't going to shut down the tapings. DeSantis ruled wrestling as an essential business, and regardless of what we think about him or the order, can overrule any mandate Orange County puts into place. It doesn't help that businesses are starting to reopen in various states anyways.
This also conflicts with reports by Meltzer, Sapp, etc that WWE has been taking every precaution possible during these tapings.

WWE’s Johns John Cena John Morrison John(ny) Gargano (Of course, there’s wrestlers who may have “John” as a real name)

This also conflicts with reports by Meltzer, Sapp, etc that WWE has been taking every precaution possible during these tapings. I mean, they can still be sanitizing the ring and everywhere else until it's brand new but the bottom line is all of that is undone the moment matches happens. That doesn't need a report to say that.

One, you can take some precautions but this is still inherently dangerous to some extent. You are wrestling other guys and you can never perfectly sanitize a ring. They also are not practicing social distancing as evident by the announcers and the backstage interviewers. Hell, they had a massive 15 person pile up at WrestleMania. And yes, talent are being given the option to stay home. But when a bunch of guys were just released, I am sure plenty of them are feeling pressure to perform right now. And that does partially fall on WWE because of the culture they've created where you lose your spot or even your job if you aren't around. Plus, Lio Rush was one of the guys who openly said he wouldn't wrestle during the pandemic and looked what happened to him. If WWE wants to produce television, just film a bunch of shows, send everyone home for six weeks, and hopefully the curve will have flattened enough by then where it's somewhat safe to work. But the right answer is just to not do this right now.

This is the best and worst aspect of Vince, because Vince has pissed himself, been anally penetrated with a catheter, been covered in shit, fallen off cages through tables, been hit so hard with a chair that his dental work flew off and bled probably enough blood to make another life size Vince statue out of blood. He is insane. And while in some ways it's commendable, in most it really isn't and has been getting worse as the years have gone by.

Having someone in charge who is not only willing to do the hardest of grunt work but will go out of his way to do it is one of the greatest leadership qualities someone can have. This only becomes an issue when that person is both fearless and had a pathological need to succeed at everything.

Yeah, I never liked that whole "Vince is willing to do <whatever>, so all the wrestlers should be, too" spiel. No, @#$% off, if I'm a wrestler for Vince then I'm still an "independent contractor" and get jack shit in benefits from WWE unless I'm able to negotiate a personal contract getting a few perks. Vince, meanwhile, is a billionaire who never has to worry about going without anything, but in particular he'll never be without health insurance he can afford and the highest levels of medical care. Maybe if Vince gave the talent a stake in the company, then they can start saying shit like that and having it mean anything, but a moment before then. As for the report out of Florida, I doubt it's a wrestler, as I imagine it's easier for the wrestlers to get in, do their work, and then get into quarantine after a taping (though they really should be spacing these out more). The backstage producers and production people, meanwhile, likely need to be there for all three shows a week, need to be in the office to produce, edit, etc., and likely don't get the chance to get out and stay home for two weeks at a stretch.

But even if you're a wrestler, you go home and quarantine for two weeks and then come out for another set of tapings. You'll never get to see your family at that rate.

This article makes it pretty clear that WWE has very subpar safety guidelines for their tapings right now (which you could see last night with their cramped four person booth).
