At the very least, it could be makeup or ring crew but I don't think wrestler can be ruled out either. WWE’s Johns John Cena John Morrison John(ny) Gargano (Of course, there’s wrestlers who may have “John” as a real name) Maybe referee John Cone?

This article makes it pretty clear that WWE has very subpar safety guidelines for their tapings right now (which you could see last night with their cramped four person booth). The PC isn't very big, it's been pretty clear from the jump that their ability to social distance would not be what they said it would be on the surface...

How do you apply social distancing at a WWE show? Only let a few in and ramp up the ticket prices?

Yeah even when things start to open up and fans can be back in the arena, I forsee at least another month at the performance center or Full Sail with limited seating before they try branching out. This would be an interesting time to try out smaller clubs and venues around the country, too, for the next year or so, places similar to the Manhattan Center.

As someone who working in retail, if people are not going to social distance at a Walmart, their not going to social distance at a WWE event.

I figure they'll run tiny venues like the PC and other smaller venues where there is no permanent seating, and where they put the chair is where you sit. Ideally, they'd have some equipment where the chair can be temporary affixed to the ground so it can't be moved.

They gonna include seat belts to strap everyone in so they don't go up to the guardrail during the show during entrances and the like?

Now, I would really hope the talent would be coached not to slap hands with the fans at ringside or anything stupid like that.

WWE performers are shockingly bad when it comes to acknowledging the audience on entrances and exists. I assume it is a company rule or something. When she was a face, Sasha would just throw her glasses away on the ramp and ignore kids. That's ridiculous. Even more fan friendly characters ignored them. It was bizarre.

Don't have to be slapping hands, simply standing almost directly over a worker who's down on the ground, breathing down all over them.

WWE performers are shockingly bad when it comes to acknowledging the audience on entrances and exists. I assume it is a company rule or something. I'd argue this is something you probably don't see it as much on TV as much as it actually happens. I've sat front row at a decent amount of WWE shows in the last few years, and I can always get a few babyfaces to slap hands depending on how close to the ramp I am. And I do think they are far more liberal about it when they are doing "jobber entrances," or walking to the back after a match when the camera isn't on them, or the announcers slapping hands before the show, or dark matches. It's definitely not a thing of the past, but maybe not really emphasized. Now, I would really hope the talent would be coached not to slap hands with the fans at ringside or anything stupid like that. Don't have to be slapping hands, simply standing almost directly over a worker who's down on the ground, breathing down all over them. Now, if I was talent working a social distance crowd show, I would make every attempt not to even be in that position. I would be doing all my dives on the ramp side, and just not putting myself close to the rails to begin with. Hell, I'd make the rails even further away from the ring if possible. Can't speak to how WWE would be doing it, and likely they will be as good at enforcing it as WalMart is, sadly.

..............Raise your hand if you think this is a bad idea...... The H1N1 pandemic of 1918 lasted for two years, but sure, June is a reasonable projection for live shows. It'd be damn funny if the stakes weren't so high.

Which updated tagline works better:
A) Putting smiles on faces respirators down throats
B) The WWE ICU-nivere

Really hope they mean smaller venues. Say they wanted to run the arena in Orlando, which for argument's sake is 17,000 for wrestling, they'd have a max of 4,250, and even that is super risky and a lot of people to process.
