Need the crowds back. Ratings for wrestling are suffering across the board. It’s just not the same.

They need to grow some f***ing morality, that's why I'm not watching. I even dropped the Network until I can stomach them.

Give people something compelling to watch and they’ll tune in.

Well... What the f*** can they do? The fact that they're still running shows in the first place is off-putting enough for many, let alone there being no crowds. The quality of the actual show content is barely relevant compared to those two factors.
But the problem is, they're NOT gonna stop running shows and they're NOT gonna have crowds for who knows long. They're in a real f***ing hole this time.

I think the most surprising thing with the ratings is that they seem to be losing their core. It's not surprising that they are not building their audience during this, but to be losing their existing audience, who are typically willing to stomach practically anything and still watch, is shocking.
Once states open up again and people can leave their houses, I'm not sure what will happen to the ratings if crowds are still not allowed back. WWE and all sports should be bracing for no fans until early next year, so it's going to be a long process.

I’m really curious.

I’m really curious. I can't imagine the news about WWE's conduct is that widely known, but it's possible that it's at least playing a role in the margins. But yeah, it's such a weird situation with all wrestling: I think it's clear the lack of crowds are hurting the major promotions, but at the same time they've got captive audiences. SD sliding down in the key demo is the big news, for sure.

I enjoyed the show. The wrestling was good and that's all that matters. Everyone is busting their asses for our enjoyment and that's all we should care about.

I'm not so sure, it's gotten coverage on fairly major news outlets and there are more eyes on those than there have been in a long time. Everything about it stunk to high heavens of corruption and while people will forgive the politicians involved, people who were already losing interest in a stagnant product aren't going to be quite as forgiving of Vince.

The double whammy of the live shows thing (though they’ve eased on it reportedly) and the mass releases a few days after has certainly had a damaging effect.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSJH7Viw6II&t=1sI think this is relevant to post in this thread. Wrestling ratings are down everywhere. LANGUAGE WARNING, and wouldn't recommend for those who are firmly on one side of the wrestling fandom (either side) Fastforward through the initial mocking of RAW/Smackdown are going down thinkers and it makes a lot of sense imo. He does come across as arrogant, but if you have to be able to ignore that and concentrate on what he's saying in between.

I don’t think people care about the moral dilemmas. Ratings are down across the board for all programming and wrestling is even more impacted by the lack of crowds. Wrestling without a audience just isn’t wrestling. At a certain point, it’s kinda unwatchable.

Wrestling without a audience just isn’t wrestling. At a certain point, it’s kinda unwatchable. exactly. WWE deserves every bit of hate they are getting throughout all of this. But AEW is running shows too, and numbers are down, along with NXT. Somewhat badly comparatively to where they were at the beginning of the "Wednesday Wars" But people are trying to "excuse" them by looking at demo trends. Not defending WWE, by any means at all, let me make that clear agian. But there is something objective leading to a decline in viewership everywhere. Not just WWE is morally bankrupt and that's why things are why they are.

The promos matter, the booking matters, the presentation matters, the amount they can get you emotionally invested matters. Good wrestling is only one part of pro wrestling, especially WWE.
