I saw these pop up on Twitter yesterday. I can't imagine how uncomfortable these women felt when they were expecting actually normal questions.

Jesus Christ.
Women's wrestling in the mainstream has come a long, long way.

Who the heck came up with those questions? Johnny Ace?

You can tell this was 2006-07 because they referred to ECW wrestlers as "Extremists". Besides that, all of this is particularly cringe-worthy given how they ask the women if they like wearing thongs, where they like to have sex, and if they have sex without the lights. Not why they wanted to join the company or what got them into the industry, mind you? Then again, this is Johnny Ace's tenure, and he made a lot of his hirings out of old Playboy magazines.
It only seems like yesterday they were peddling swimsuit matches.

Johnny Ace at the interview: “So anyway how is your sex life?” I read that in his voice, LOL.

This is so f***ing sleazy and bad. I'm glad the company's moved past this, I wish it had been more voluntary.

Women have put up with so much uncomfortable shit over the years. Not just women's wrestlers either. Especially during the early 2000s, so many publications and channels decided to go hard on the "sex sells" theory when it came to interviews. How many actresses have had to suffer through "oh I loved your nude scene in this movie" from some horndog interviewer? I specifically remember an interviewer, I think Matt Lauer, joking to Diane Keaton that a lot of people rewound her nude scene in Something's Gotta Give during an interview.
WWE's media team definitely embraced that hardcore during that time. The rebranded WWE Magazine was especially guilty of this. During Trish's retirement interview with them, they asked her about which Divas she'd seen naked the most, and questions about her freaking nipples. So uncomfy.

What the f*** kind of questions are those? "Hey, you're getting a chance to be hired by us. Let's pry into your personal lives."

So that was an uncomfortable read.
I mean, jeez, I like looking at the women of WWE and all, but I'm glad those days are long gone and we stick to talking about their abilities here.

These all sound bad, but from my vantage point in the dark corner, smoking a cigarette, stroking a gun, it was all professional.

Eh. I don't find anything particularly offensive here as long as it wasn't forced upon them.
The idea of the Diva Search was to find these "sexy hot bikini models"... They knew what they were gonna be marketed as.
Now the Marketing of female wrestlers is a lot different. They're seen as equals to the men.
Back then, the women in the company were (like it or not) employed for eye candy.
Its just a different direction. No different to movies hiring actresses because they are good looking.

I'm just going to go ahead and imagine that ALL WWE employees were asked these questions during their job applications.
WWE.com: Where is your favorite place to have sex?
Glen Jacobs: Definitely not in a funeral parlor if that's what you're suggesting!
WWE.com: Did anything funny happen during your first sexual experience?
Glen Jacobs: Look, I swear she was alive when we started, okay!?

Erica! You know that you're not allowed near folding tables anymore! But yeah...I feel gross reading those questions. 15 years ago seems like a century, and thank god.

Even if you're hiring someone to look pretty, "Where's your favorite place to have sex?" is not okay. Being hired because you're attractive doesn't make this not sexual harassment, and these people don't really have any baseline guarantee of comfort and consent when they're in this hoping for a job and some goon with his hand flailing around in his pocket is saying they have to tell him if they f*** with the lights on for a wrestling website if they want to participate in this competition for a contract. I don't think anyone hired on the basis of 'You're a really hot fitness model what would you think about making six figures a year in pro wrestling and being on TV' is expecting to have their sex life dissected like that. You can be sexy without being exploited like this.
