Its astounding that WWE, the wrestling company that's gone public on the stock market, has more more employees than anyone, and has the highest level contracts with various networks/businesses... is seemingly the most carny promotion in the world.

Apparently Mia Yim found out that there was a positive test when she was on Twitch, and then spent some time texting other wrestlers. That says a lot when you don't inform your talent ahead of time.

Sean Ross Sapp said last night on his Raw report that they were even letting people into the PC that had fevers

On top of everything else, I'm still marveling at the stupidity of having more than one person run through the crowd cubicles on Raw. The hell is wrong with this stupid company?

What is totally baffling to me is WWE not having actual testing for the past few months. Literally any other promotion trying to run shows is doing actual testing to make sure no one is sick and can spread the virus. It's gotten pretty inexcusable at this point.

Apparently, these have been the masks they've been handing out at their tapings: Sorry, needed to toss in a joke to lighten things. Coping mechanism. I hope this is an isolated case, for the sake of everyone working there. Thank you all for your passion to entertain, but it's not worth it. Please play this shit safe. Not a good year for Vince, the old, dumb bastard.

I am THRILLED that Roman decided to go home throughout this.

Every single person there should just head home now. Going back to work for these neglectful assholes in light of all of this news coming out would just be unbelievably dumb.

FFS is there no one in that damn company or better yet the entire country with enough balls to stand up to Vince and tell him to shut the thing down and pull his 70+ year old head out his ass? Most of his talent have got kids of varying ages, one of his top stars is about to have his second and Vince himself is a granddad of 6

I've said it from the start...money is more important to "higher ups" then actual people.
The rich are f***ing killing us.

UFC had a couple initial missteps but otherwise seems to have done ok, and AEW's plans seem rock solid. The template was out there but the wealthiest company chose not to follow it. The performers might be up against a wall, but the crew should absolutely be talking lawsuit.

Not a thing here is surprising. Vince is an idiot who thinks his opinion is equivalent to intelligence because he has money. It's astounding to me how f***ing stupid and evil he is. Actually what's more astounding is that anyone can work for him.

Both American wrestling companies seemed to have come up way short in their actions during this health crisis.
Whether it was refusing to do true block tapings (both WWE and AEW), not letting audience members wear masks (WWE), allowing talent in the crowd before testing was given (AEW), using older talent that is not socially distancing (WWE with Lawler, Taker, Austin, AEW with Jake, JR, Arn, Tully), refusing to do COVID-testing when available (WWE), doing COVID testing but then seemingly relaxing other rules despite testing not being foolproof (AEW), seemingly not following distancing guidelines backstage (WWE), throwing a Memorial Day party with talent and outsiders (AEW), jumping states to avoid stay-at-home orders (AEW), seemingly paying off someone to get your company deemed essential (WWE), and letting your talent find out about a positive COVID-test through social media (WWE).
It’s just been continuous carny, seedy behavior all around. Everything continues to be about the almighty dollar.

I fully agree that it would serve Vince right if the talent & crew walked out.
But, based on some of the social media we’re seeing from the talent, & just knowing how a lot of people are, I get the idea that many of the talent themselves are of the mindset that the virus is not that big a deal—either thinking it’s being overblown by the media/government officials, or that they’re young & healthy and can quickly recover if they get sick, or whatever. Heck, I know plenty of people in my regular social circles like that—few of whom are pro athletes on any level.
I hope this serves as a wake-up call to those who’ve been lax about the whole thing, be they talent, crew, or front office. But sadly, I’m not convinced it will.

Seems like WWE is doing the swab test now if Mojo's tweet is any indication. "Gotta make sure we’re healthy and safe to entertain the globe every week!" Anyway, what a shitshow this whole thing's been.
