This working relationship wouldn't make a lick of sense.
Loads of the WWE guys can happily go over to NJPW and work that style, sure. But who from NJPW would want to come over and work WWE-style? How would a storyline be in any way coherent involving those two companies' storytelling styles?

Just imagine, just imagine.
They hype Khan appearing on TV. All they say is "Khan, live tonight!"
Tony Khan comes out live on the July 16th Smackdown.

Can someone please communicate to NJPW that WWE is a shitbag company that takes blood money and repeatedly f***s over its fans and non-white wrestlers.
I say this with no hyperbole I may be done with wrestling if this goes through.

Ishii vs. Sheamus and Big E vs. Shingo Naito vs Finn Balor, Timothy Thatcher vs Minoru Suzuki Thatcher vs. Suzuki has happened. Honestly, I would love if Okada's idea of a big ass dream card(AEW, CMLL, AAA, WWE, NJPW) for charity come to fruition. Just have a weekend of fun wrestling with PWG styled shenanigans with WWE production and NJPW's camera work.

I doubt it goes anywhere. New Japan would be better off maintaining a working relationship with AEW. It's much more beneficial for them, and the wrestling business as a whole.

Forget your forbidden doors WELCOME TO THE FORBIDDEN PORTAL!
Nick Khan is out to become the enemy of the state to every single non WWE wrestling fan and if he pulls this off wow.
But I also cannot say that the prospect of Not so much NJPW...but STARDOM here does not highly intrigue me.
Io back in stardom , reuniting of Thunder Rock , Queens Quest real leader returns , maybe this brings Kairi out of retirement , Mayu Vs Io in NXT gawd damn.
And also alot of women that need it could be sent for excursions to Stardom and come back as gawd damn killers.

It's more uncertain, yes...not sure how we'd arrive at the conclusion that it's more creative or lucrative until we see it in action. Given WWE's track record with this kind of thing, we're not especially likely to end up with anything even remotely resembling creativity, in my opinion. To do something creative will require WWE to acknowledge that it is not superior and let the NJPW guys actually look strong on American television. Do we really expect that to actually happen? NXT'll probably be better than usual, though.

In business terms, a partnership makes a lot of sense.
NJPW gets a bigger audience for their home grown stuff, with the potential for shows to go on the Network/Peacock, potentially at another tier level. They could also run shows in the US off the back of the additional promotion and exposure, without necessarily taking on the risk of trying to do a whole new promotion in a packed out North American scene - and they could have WWE talent appear on those shows, many of whom have already worked with them or would like to and have a higher drawing/star power than almost anyone on an AEW show.
WWE gets the same thing in Japan, and equally doesnt run the risk of having to start an entirely new promotion just to scout and develop people who may want to come stateside. They also get a new attraction and the chance to cross promote large shows in Tokyo and potentially have Survivor Series style inter-promotional matches/specials, which would be a draw.
Problem wise, both sides would need to agree how to protect and promote each other's stars so no one comes out looking weaker or stupid, but people could still lose clean, and of course Vince and his ego, though if Nick Khan convinces him it's £££ to do it, and you know Hunter would love this, so I could see it.

I really hope this happens. It makes a ton of sense for both promotions. Of a deal is made New Japan is smart enough not to let the WWE come in and win their world title and bury their company. Hopefully this deal happens.

The fact that it is Nick Khan trying to broker this deal I say gives it a better than normal chance of happening instead of say any of the McMahons approaching NJPW.

New Japan would gain nothing from working with them.
Remember how people thought Evolve would do so by working with WWE?
The only reason they are even considering it is because New Japan has expanded the past seven years and they want to stop it before it gets big enough.

I really don’t want this to happen. I completely quit watching anything put on by WWE and NJPW is the only company that I fully commit to watching full time. Really don’t want to leave NJPW behind because they’ve decided to work with WWE.

NJPW isn't run by idiots. If they willingly are looking at working with WWE then they're making sure things go right for them.
There is zero reason to be concerned about this.
