You have to respect a man who keeps his word. I have trouble respecting a man whose idea of "smash my TV" is to take a bat to the 22" Insignia he got for 150 on Black Friday and stuck in his spare bedroom. Don't be silly He stole it from Al Snow

Oh my god. Why did he do that again? Daniel Bryan lost a match or something? He wagered that if Bryan didn't win the 2014 rumble, he'd destroy a TV. Noelle's TV, to be exact.

Mick Foley isn't wrong in his assessment at all. More often than not the people that got over in developmental were totally misused on the WWE's main roster. Whereas a lot of the top Indy talent that AEW has signed have been prominently featured. Sure the WWE name has a lot of prestige and history behind it but if a young wrestler goes there, do they have a better chance of becoming a star there or in AEW at this point? Right now, I'd say based on what they've done in their recent history, AEW is the choice.

Mick Foley, one of the nicest guys in professional wrestling (from what I can tell anyway) telling WWE they've got a problem...

Obviously he's not saying anything new here, but I'm just glad to see Foley looking good these days. Yeah, the guy's looking great nowadays which is awesome to see. I'm not far off from rewatching the start of his WWE career in 1996 on the Network.

WWE has an audience of 1. Their brand and recognition has gotten them so far but I’m wondering how long that’s going to last. Everything Foley mentioned here is spot on.

Mick is right. Everything he said here is fair and pretty much correct about current WWE and we are seeing it in practice and before our very eyes.
The issue is no matter how fair and how legit the criticism is and even if it's right? WWE doesn't care because Vince simply does not care... he simply goes forward.

Attitude Era Mick Foley would never even get a chance to sniff the WWE Championship or Universal Championship in 2021. It shows you how much things have changed between the two eras, and not for the better.

How many times have they openly pointed out issues on their show ON the show?

It always seems to me that main roster WWE is just a constant series of jumping through hoops. That they hamstring talent instead of helping it succeed. They’ll change your name, give you a terrible gimmick/look, or take away a move that’s getting over with the crowd. And of course the old chestnut of the stop/start push. They just make it hard to gain any traction. Or at least they make it harder than it needs to be. It just seems like there’s much more potential for upward mobility in AEW.

Also potentially true... see the original Cena/Roman feud where Cena pointed out actual problems with the company that couldn't be solved via a match... but we're supposed to think that it's all hunky dory because Roman pinned him?
