I do get really tired of, "But he loses though!" as a complete dismissal of complaints about Cody. Sure, he does (though I do still call bullshit on saying he put Darby over, when he did lose to him it was in the most fluky way possible and then there was an immediate post-match attack to distract from it) but that doesn't magically make him an interesting character. Cody could lose every single match and so long as he was still getting this much screentime and spectacle for this same lame ass character and his generic stable of nobodies he'd still be boring as hell.

If Cody “knows” what he’s doing and he is actually planning to turn heel, know what I think should happen? Nothing.
This isn’t me saying “f*** the fans”, it’s me saying we’ve got enough strong heel stables in Elite and Pinnacle currently, and Nightmare Factory is fine for now as the CHAOS style presence (and I know CHAOS isn’t exactly at its peak now, but the principle applies).
I’ve said it before, the perfect way to keep him from feeling “disconnected” is to just get rid of his VP status. Whatever clout he has outside of kayfabe doesn’t matter, since they can always get any random figurehead to replace him and Brandi if they relinquished their duties.
This way, you can insert Cody into whatever title program you want and he won’t feel like he’s living in his own little island. Plus you still have a babyface character that feels unique to what Tony is mostly pushing at the upper levels of the card.
Right now Cody’s whole aura and presentation, *not* being in a heel context, is way more interesting than Eddie’s, Cassidy’s, or even Punk’s presentation at the moment.
