Every time they try to make Charlotte a face. To go with this, them trying so hard to make it seem like Becky was in the wrong when The Man gimmick started. I know others have mentioned these moments but the Orton/Cena Rumble stared own and Triple H acting sad after tapping to Brock never cease to make me laugh.

Definitely pointing to the WM sign. I'm pretty sure I let out an audible groan whenever it happens.

Any returning superstar. Cole always ruins the magic with his "Could it be?" or "Oh my!".

I'd add the whole DX gimmick. They pushed them as anti authority rebels when the gimmick was really "its 9:55 mom and bedtime is 10! This is so unfair!" almost felt sorry for both men having to do the gimmick into their 40s.

Every time they try to make Charlotte a face. To go with this, them trying so hard to make it seem like Becky was in the wrong when The Man gimmick started. Becky scratches and claws putting together a winning streak to get a one on one title match for SummerSlam. Charlotte lost multiple times to Carmella, takes a break for awhile, comes back and wins one match to get the SummerSlam match changed to a triple threat. I can't believe fans would cheer for Becky over Charlotte in that situation. It's not like Becky had the perfect underdog story which culminates in her getting a win, and then WWE said "f*** that, give Charlotte another win that's what fans want."

Homophobia for 'humour' was just more prevalent in culture at this time, so I cut it a bit of slack despite it being, you know, hate speech aimed at me specifically But the very idea of Degeneration-SUCK IT-X accusing other people of being obsessed with penises made me furious with them for that entire angle DX is one of the gayest stables in history, and that was true from day one - I don't care how straight Rick Rude allegedly was, that moustache of his was as bisexual as it gets

Turning Sting into a heel against Hogan at Fall Brawl 99, crowd cheered and didn't care one bit that he cheated. A month or so later, Sting is back as the lovable babyface.

I'd say the Women's Revolution silliness from summer 2015 to right before Wrestlemania 32 pulled off the unique feat of being forced in two entirely different ways.
First off, the sudden insistence on focusing the division entirely on three teams with no build up or even context as to why they were teaming was just bizarre and the feeling of a show being greatly re-tooled into another genre because the ratings were struggling. I wasn't a consistent watcher of WWE at that point, and kept assuming there was some major promo or angle I had missed that explained these trios teams, but now it was literally just Stephanie saying they were together now.
Secondly, the constant self congratulations about the Women's Revolution was just nauseating. The last five years of the company's efforts with the female talent have been hit and miss at points, but least it's been paired with notable firsts (Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, main event of Mania, Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank etc). This period was the same kind of half assed presentation and care that the Divas era got, just with better workers that felt wasted in comparison to their NXT runs.
It's why as far as I'm concerned, the real revolution started at Wrestlemania 32 with the excellent triple threat between Charlotte, Becky, & Sasha. That's the match that took the division to new heights and made it worth paying attention to on the main roster. Everything prior was just a lot of empty fluff.

The Dusty-Flair feud was definitely forced after a certain period of time. Fans were not begging for that to be a multi-year feud headlining all the major events.
The Jimmy Valiant-Paul Jones army feud.

Inoki putting the IWGP Title on career undercarder Tadao Yasuda because he managed to tap out Jerome Le Banner in a MMA match.
It would be akin to Gangrel in 2000 winning a fight in the UFC and then getting the WWF Title in a tournament over The Rock and Triple H.

WWE trying to turn Brock heel by saying he was lazy, never showed up, and had really short matches. Don't forget he gets away with it because he's Vince's boy! Honestly, all of that might have worked... EXCEPT that it was Roman Reigns saying it.

Every single time the WWE has ever tried to be funny, ever. They do not have a tendency to gracefully and naturally set up their punchlines. The single exception I would argue is when Triple H and Flair were seen in the background driving a forklift during a completely unrelated segment. This was from like 2005 or 06. Of course in this case, the exception goes to prove the rule. Triple H yelling at the plant while blinded by the mist is another thing that was hilarious. The WWE have a lot of moments that are funny, granted for every one they nail they do have at least 5 failed attempts and that's if we're being REALLY generous.
