I'm glad I don't watch WWE anymore so I can be amused at these bizarre recaps instead of frustrated that I have to sit through it live.

Sadly, it’s how they do things. It’s one of the main reasons I stopped watching other than clips off of Reddit. But for me, paying top dollar to watch 17 minutes of wrestling in the two hour show is a rip off. That’s barely enough wrestling to sustain an hour show, and Rampage still has more wrestling.

It’s been that way since 1984, brother. George Orwell would have written a MUCH better wrestling show I think we found the one booker who would book misery heel wins even more than WWE.

So, can someone lay out to me how there was 20 minutes between entrance and match start other than "a complete network cockup on the level of the time TNA lost an entire show to technical issues"? Because I'm sure not watching that shit to check how. If I'm remembering everything right: -Sami Zayn makes entrance -commercial break -Sonya/Naomi segment -what feels like a 5 minute Raw recap -commercial break -Back to Sami in ring -Brock shows up and beats him up -commercial break -Roman looooong entrance -Bell finally rings Reminder that WWE has 253 writers on its payroll

As I kinda stated earlier it's more like... Here you go boss a fully formed television show that we've been working on since last week. Vince: That's great... 10 minutes later Vince: THIS IS ALL CRAP WRITE IT AGAIN! *writers scurry to salvage stuff from the draft... who keeps changing his mind on it. so at Showtime it's a convoluted mess of ideas and has no structure because it was literally thrown together like 5 minutes before it aired...*

Reminder that WWE has 253 writers on its payroll And one person to approve said writing and is also the CEO of said company. And that is the biggest road block and if we can learn anything from the change at Disney. Normally it is good to have 1 person in both seats...when that 1 person is actually sane because atleast everyone then knows who to either heap praise or point to as the problem. In this case though we are in the worst scenario because he occupies both positions so there is no getting rid of Vince untill he either steps down or just plain cannot fulfil his duties anymore.

So interesting fact, one single match on AEW last night was longer than EVERY match on Smackdown put together. Literally.

Why bother doing anything exciting or new if the old man is going to shoot it down or rewrite 100 times until it's something no one could like.

Like, we’re not talking about goobers or rejected talent, they had literal Emmy award winners writing for them. And you couldn’t tell that because their presence meant about as much as, like, Dana Warrior, Dewey Foley, Freddie Prince Jr, Naked Oiley Guy (the non-TNA version), The Great Khali’s manager, whoever you can name.

I felt it’s kind of fitting to put this here. AEW was a lot closer to WWE here than I’d have first thought. I was expecting something like 40 min/hour to like 10.

I remember reading something the other day about how a lot of people in WWE are convinced Tony Khan buys up AEW tickets because they don't understand how AEW could outsell them and, like... Maybe it's because Dynamite does shit to keep viewers invested instead of having gigantic chunks of the show where literally nothing happens and when something is happening it's seemingly specifically designed to piss people off?

They want to be seen as entertainment not wrestling so they hire Hollywood writers. Being a fan is a negative as that makes you a mark. If you are a celebrity like Prinze then I guess you get a pass. But then they belittle and ignore you because you dont know the business. And from Prinzes other story Vince expects you to live and breathe wrestling, something you were hired for not being a fan of.

Reminder that WWE has 253 writers on its payroll And one person to approve said writing and is also the CEO of said company. So in other words, we actually have one writer and 253 people who get paid to get frustrated and their time and talents wasted.

I wonder if they were still writing the show when Sami entered. "We have thirty minutes, someone write the ending quickly!"
What an abysmal TV show.
