Well, why DO you still watch? Watching this gif made me think, I wish we would've gotten this kind of spot with The Fiend, but then the person getting pied sells it like there's acid in the cream or something, just fall to the ground yelling "it burns!" Or that they're blinded or something. |

It took me a while but I finally realized in the last month their new pattern where announce the main event with thirty minutes to go and do absolutely nothing of value for the next fifteen minutes. And I just don't get it. You have a bunch of 3 minute matches on the card. Give them some time. Or throw out another one. But just give us something.

So, can someone lay out to me how there was 20 minutes between entrance and match start other than "a complete network cockup on the level of the time TNA lost an entire show to technical issues"?
Because I'm sure not watching that shit to check how.

If I'm remembering everything right: -Sami Zayn makes entrance -commercial break -Sonya/Naomi segment -what feels like a 5 minute Raw recap -commercial break -Back to Sami in ring -Brock shows up and beats him up -commercial break -Roman looooong entrance -Bell finally rings |

Alright, so, Sami made his entrance then it went to break, after the break it goes to a backstage segment where it's Naomi challenging Sonya to a match then recap of Raw. After that it's another commercial and when it comes back Sami's cutting a promo and out comes Brock Lesnar, he suplexes Sami, F5s him then puts him standing up in the corner. Once Brock leaves then it cuts back to another commercial. Once that's done, Roman makes his entrance, spear, submission, Roman wins in like 1-2 minutes. |

Is there any logic in the pacing of the shows like this, I posted my rant in the rate sd thread also lol, but watching Raws and Smackdowns within the last year since their weird switch to this entrance of wrestler, commercial/recap/backstage then to entrance of opponent, then the match begins makes zero sense to me for the fans in attendance and on TV. Then I read on reddit from fans in attendance saying the lights are dimmed out, the wrestler is just standing there while commercials are playing on the screen. Doesn't seem to make for a good experience for anyone involved...

The trope of wrestler enters, then an unrelated thing happens, makes the shows unwatchable to me. The occasional commercial break is one thing, but going to backstage segments or unrelated video packages just makes the show look poorly planned out and the wrestler involved look like an idiot.
Now I know the shows are poorly planned out, but you don't make that obvious on camera!

I don’t know if they do it to try and build up anticipation but by the time it’s time for the match I’ve forgotten the guy was in the ring to begin with. |
