I think we found the one booker who would book misery heel wins even more than WWE. 20 minutes of Regal explaining how to prepare the perfect cup of tea. I'm English. I would watch the hell out of that

In the old days in the NFL they used to have:
Touchdown ~commercial break~ Kickoff ~commercial break~ Timeout ~commercial break~

Reminder that WWE has 253 writers on its payroll I can't tell if you're humorously exaggerating or depressingly accurate. Seriously 200+? I swear, WWE definitely has 260 writers on its payroll

I swear, WWE definitely has 260 writers on its payroll Jerry Jarrett was on a Figure Four or Wrestling Observer radio show shortly after Hogan and Bischoff took over TNA. They were asking him about it and Bryan brought up the quote from Russo about how he worked 6 months on the script for the first episode. Jarrett had a good laugh about being proud to have spent 6 months on that crap. That’s what this is like. You pay 250 writers and the best you can do is this crap?

I can't believe they have 698 writers and this is the best they can do

George Orwell would have written a MUCH better wrestling show I think we found the one booker who would book misery heel wins even more than WWE. Isn't Orwell Booking just Hogan in WCW?

I mean Wacky Deli’s famous “10 minutes of Mayo,” was ratings gold.

I mean, that sort of thing will happen when you have 117,583,479 writers.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a heel beating up a face— then, now forever. Imagine a wrestling company controlling the past, using newspeak, unpersoning somebody, making masses of wrestlers disappear overnight, having a re-eduction facility, always needing an external enemy...oh.

Maybe they were nice enough to come out and tell the live crowd what they'd be getting for the next half hour.

Is there any logic in the pacing of the shows like this, I posted my rant in the rate sd thread also lol, but watching Raws and Smackdowns within the last year since their weird switch to this entrance of wrestler, commercial/recap/backstage then to entrance of opponent, then the match begins makes zero sense to me for the fans in attendance and on TV. Then I read on reddit from fans in attendance saying the lights are dimmed out, the wrestler is just standing there while commercials are playing on the screen. Doesn't seem to make for a good experience for anyone involved...
As shit as this must have been to watch at home, I can only imagine how pissed the live audience was. For almost half an hour, they watched Sami Zayn watch backstage segments, and their main event was a total squash. My first thought was that this shit would barely fly in the Thunderdome, which only reminds me they just got live crowds back this year. To think, this company used to pride itself on "sending the fans home happy".
