WWE mostly handled COVID okay on Raw and Smackdown once they got to the Thunderdome. But the situation at the WWE PC was absolutely abysmal, especially during the worst phases of the pandemic.
It's telling that there weren't any real big outbreaks at the Thunderdome, Impact Zone, Daily's Place, etc. while the PC saw multiple outbreaks in 2020.

Honestly what sports/entertainment organization has handled COVID positively? This isn’t me defending WWE. I just think every Sports org has just been I’ll Equipped to handle this. All the others wrestling company handled covid much better than WWE. so you dont need to look at others sports to compare I don’t remember WWE doing much on the main roster that was egregious. They weren’t great, though and the smaller companies did well as they barely ran shows or ran super bulk tapings. AEW had a crowd when it didn’t seem like a good idea, had their wrestlers in tight quarters in the crowd when it didn’t seem necessary, and Tony Khan was throwing New Year’s bashes when that didn’t seem like a good idea either. Both major companies could’ve done much better.

All companies could have done better by just not running show or running bulks, which WWE barely did.But WWE was the only one that had outbreaks every other weeks and didnt take precautions and barely tested their talent before shows and didnt have a safe ,isolated or open place for then to be. You could say AEW did the bare minimum but that was still more than WWE(plus you know, laying off a bunch of people mid-pandemic)

But they apparently did try to maintain masking and distancing, and staggered talent for tapings, even issuing fines for those not wearing masks (at Kevin Owens’ insistence). But I think all companies should have instituted mandatory testing and done bulk tapings of 3-4 weeks at a time during the height of it. There were also outbreaks at both companies, that was inevitable with the amount of shows they were running.

I don't think they can realistically not run shows when they have a TV deal. ROH drastically cut down on a ton of networks their parent company owned and it still killed them

I believe it was speculated that there were so many taped shows a year but that wasn’t ever verified by anyone nor was it clarified if there was any conditions for stuff like natural disasters or…well, COVID.

IMO there is nothing more they can do because even the vaccinated/boosted can still catch it and pass it regardless of boosters etc it is not a complete immunization , there are people out there who have been what triple vacced and multi boosted and still catch it.
They can try and relentlessly test everyone but those tests are not 100% accurate anyways , they can try and impliment the vac passport but idk how well that is gonna go over with people and who knows how many talents they may alienate doing that.
It is an extremely sticky situation IMO that is next to impossible to navagate any one certain way.

First of all, I hope they are all ok. Especially since Seth and Becky have a baby as well.
And second, that guts a big chunk of the Day 1 big matches if they cannot go.

No way you are not going to have the WWE and Women's champion off the show. Damien/Priest isn't enough to carry the house show. Unless they give them a special treat like Damien/Priest vs. AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor for the US title. Or Omos defeats Bob Backlund for the WWE title.

... So Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE title at Day 1 it is then?

Given that's both major RAW world title matches? Day One is screwed if they can't clear protocols in time.
And TBH it already felt like a snakebit show given they needed Migos to sell tickets to it... and I don't even think that worked

They just posted this so either Montez doesn't need to quarantine with Bianca, or this'll change again tomorrow night

Holding the Toronto live event even with capacity limits for live events and Covid cases in Ontario now reaching over 9,000 was probably a big mistake.

If Seth, Becky, Big E, etc are out of Day 1. Or even just some of the , WTF do too replace them with?
This is where WWE’s failure to properly build newer stars can become an issue as well.

Edge vs. Kevin Owens in a steel cage match will headline tonight's NYC event at Madison Square Garden.
well. I hope this leads to wrestling companies telling their stars, among other things, to stop in-crowd spots.

Not just their inability to build new stars but firing like a 100 talents some more than capable of filling those slots and even just making the decision to walk away from the company very easy. Ciampa Vs Dunne was apparently at the MSG show so I expect we gonna see NXT talents filling those slots and possibly Day 1 as well. It ended up being damn awesome the last time NXT had to plug up the holes.
