Maybe Motley Crue asked her to join as their new lead singer. I know they kind of had them on screen together for a minute but a Toni Storm/Dolph Ziggler pairing where they both wrestled and accompanied each other to the ring for matches would have been fun.

Maybe Motley Crue asked her to join as their new lead singer. It was actually Dolph Ziggler asking her if she wants to join his cover band. How would you have reacted?!
Edit: Dolph is even old in post form.

There's also people trying to get a rise out of folks on this board. Theres a reason why there isn't that many pro-WWE people on here. They usually get beaten down with how much the show they like sucks and they should explain their fandoms. I hate the product but I do the best thing and not post in the WWE board so I dont damper anyone's enjoyment I riff in the live threads and comment where I think I can provide good criticism, joke, or compliment. I really don't like going after people for what they like, even if in some cases I don't understand it, that's fine, I'm not them That being said, yeah, I didn't see much of anyone who was real jazzed about how Toni Storm's push went... and developments like these probably show why you shouldn't also constantly beat down a talent with empty promises until they're like "Eh I'm done with this". We just had a thread about how Kross got this runaround with a "LOng term plan for the Jeff Hardy squash"... there's just too many hens in the hen house, and those too many hens serve one crazy rooster who dont know what hes doing anymore. I honestly think that if the wait and see crowd just said, "You're completely right to have zero faith in them doing anything remotely right here, but I'm going to anyway", then the sentiment wouldn't be around. But that doesn't happen. A lot of us have been here for a very long time and been told wait and see over and over only to be burned constantly.

I agree, it's very very VERY hard to invest in new talent lately. Even the ones who feel like they're safe and have a future well... they get cut out of nowhere these days, which makes booking mishaps and miscues feel more egregious because it feels like when wrestlers don't get over or something flops with fans and critics, they blame the wrestler more than themselves, and this can be the result. It's a mess, that "What are your thoughts on the last three years of WWE?" thread sure came at a hell of a time, because stuff like this constantly happening with talent is a large reason people are leaving or tuning out more and more en masse.

I am just surprised she got let go before Shotzi. Please stop you know FANifestation is real. Yeah, I mean, I joked that with Bronson Reed and Mikey Nicholls in New Japan, we were one Shane Thorne release away from TMDK in New Japan, and then Thorne got released... OH NO, I SURE HOPE CESARO DOESN'T ASK FOR HIS RELEASE! IT WOULD BE TERRIBLE IF WE GOT A KINGS OF WRESTLING REUNION ON THE INDIES!

He's somebody that seemingly disappeared once the pandemic hit and he got released. I know he had that Conrad podcast for a minute but that was like Conrad's first show since STW that kind of just went away.

I thought she probably asked for her release and seems to be the case. Wouldn't surprise me if she just wants more creative freedom as what they had her doing didn't seem like her.
I will still say that I'm shocked WWE never got behind her more even in NXT (not that she was treated poorly in NXT mind you)
If there's one good thing with Nick Khan it does sound like the petty refusing releases may be done

As someone who was pissed at the wait and see responses they got when they said Toni looked dead in the water during the pie face angle, yeah no, no one's being a dick here, people are expressing anger at the booking and hoping she's ok and lands on her feet, both things can happen at the same time without a fight. There's also people trying to get a rise out of folks on this board. Theres a reason why there isn't that many pro-WWE people on here. They usually get beaten down with how much the show they like sucks and they should explain their fandoms. I hate the product but I do the best thing and not post in the WWE board so I dont damper anyone's enjoyment I'm only gonna say it once and let that be it on this topic since this is the wrong thread for that but like I said in that other thread. People need to use the ignore button more. Like, just press that button and post how they feel whether they like it or not. If people can't respect you then shit, let it fly. We're adults here. If not that stop talking to people and be happy. It's easy. Let that choppa sing one time. Ba-dap ba-dap. Be happy when you post since forums should be a place of happiness. But when people can't stop watching something they hate it ain't surprising they can't ignore/stop talking/stop angering others.

This really does just feel like a storm (no pun intended) of a lot of different factors that make this a really crazy case for a lot of people on the outside looking in.
On the one hand, a lot of the feelings towards Toni's WWE work haven't seemed the best; I can't really comment, but if she's been kind of phoning it in or just not really clicking with WWE's style then that's certainly an issue that could be her problem or indicative of larger company issues.
Then there's her booking, which...yeah, just going by the reviews it hasn't read well. Pies, crying in the ring, winning via DQ because Charlotte beat her up too much, etc., none of that reads like there's much of a future to be had there. She's had some moments, but given WWE's recent track record it's hard to take "but you had a program with the champ!" as a ringing endorsement when even champs get cut on a whim.
And then there's whatever might be motivating her here, which nobody can really guess. Whether it's something with her personal life, mental health, job dissatisfaction, whatever it might be, we can only guess...though I'd REALLY rather not see anyone doing so, let's wait to hear what the story is if she ever feels like sharing.
Combine all that with how short her main roster run has been and this is one of the stranger release stories in the last couple years.

She was a bit snake bitten during her time in NXT.

Hero quietly took over the booking for Ring of Honor around June, and the last six months were really excellent.

She was a bit snake bitten during her time in NXT. HHH really didn't use her all that well either, honestly. She got a couple title shots and beat Rhea in a really good match after she turned heel, but it was a lot of nothing outside of that. She even went on a huge losing streak where she was getting pinned by the likes of Kacy and Zayda Ramier. Even if you don't think she should be one of the faces of the division, she was at least better than that.

I basically watch the wrestling shows that I enjoy like NxT and AEW. If I'm not getting paid to review these shows why should I watch something I hate. Im just gonna make people who actually like the product miserable. Theres no need for me to spread that negativity around
