3. Spider-Man, PS1, physical (played on my PS2 Bravia TV)
First time I've played it. Had a fun time and was a nice short game to play after the months of playing Lost Judgment. Didn't use What If mode but will do if I replay it. The difficulty of the game is really inconsistent. The underwater trench, Venom chases and the Mysterio boss fight were extremely difficult (especially hampered by the controls), but Doc Ock and Carnage were ridiculously easy. Monster-Ock wasn't too challenging either. Good humour throughout the game but everyone's face being a static JPG is really disconcerting.

3. Mayhem Brawler
As a fan of beat-'em-up games, I was right at home with this one. I don't know why it took me a few months for me to beat it, but I finally did. It'll probably take me less time because now I want to check out the other endings.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
Finally got around to playing this with Game Pass… other then the crappy camera and infuriating controls.. a pretty good story driven Star Wars game.. here a sequel is in the works, it would be good see more content with the characters created for this game, so hopefully they fix the frustrating parts.
It’s called Fallen Order because you spend most of the game bloody falling off things.

16. Luigi's Mansion
Been mostly playing Red Dead Redemption 2 but wanted to do a quick game as a bit of a break from it. Played the Gamecube version this time - first time in a few years since I've done that, past few playthroughs were of the 3DS one - and definitely appreciated the better controls in the original one revisiting it after doing that one. Wound up getting an A rank mansion and gold on every portrait ghost so very satisfying run through, always a game that's good for just killing some time with and by far my favorite Luigi's Mansion game.

17. Super Smash Bros.
Was kind of just trying some things out and wound up doing a quickie run through of Classic mode. It's the original Smash Bros., not a lot to say about it really. Pales in comparison to anything that came after it but there's still certainly novelty there.

Just beat Sniper Elite 4. I really enjoy this series as it appeals to my methodical nature – my fastest time to complete a level was about five hours, with most taking upwards of six-and-a-half.

1. Assassins Creed Black Flag 2. Pokémon Shining Pearl 3. Crusader Kings 3: Sicily playthrough
--------------------------------------
Fire Emblem Three Houses: Verdant Wind route. 3H was my first foray into FE when I bought my Switch last year. Surprised I didn't try one out Fire Emblem earlier as I did enjoy it a lot. Though the games can sometimes be a bit repetitive (battle maps repeating & running around the monastery). There is a reason it took me months to complete VW after completing Crimson Flower & Azure Moon back to back. Will need another break before I can do Silver Snow.
Continuing on the Switch I finally picked up Legends Arceus. Which has been a blast so far.

18. Red Dead Redemption 2
This time around I did the epilogue, after having taken what wound up being a permanent break before doing so on my first playthrough. ... Admittedly didn't actually like the epilogue very much, think a lot of it's kind of too meandering and like it didn't need to be nearly as long as it is, but still, this playthrough did pretty majorly elevate my opinion of the game as a whole. It can be rather tiresome to play at times and definitely think it's too long but I came away from it loving it a lot more than hating it which isn't really something I can say for the first time I played it. Prooobably helps that since I first played it they patched in campfire fast travel but even then I didn't really use that every time or anything.

4. Tony Hawk Underground 2 (PS2, physical)
On holiday so we brought along my PS2 Bravia TV for when the wife is asleep. Just finished the normal story mode with 100% goals and Good Lord was Neversoft struggling after the stellar THUG 1. Tiny amount of original levels padded out with some ridiculously difficult goals and honestly, a worthless, horribly dated storyline. Leave this one in the past, there's a good reason my memory card said 2009 last touched on this.

1 - Death's Door 2 - Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan 3 - Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope 4 - Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes --------------------- 5 - Days Gone
One of those games (like HZD, which I completed late last year) that has been sitting in my backlog for a while and either never got chosen, or never got a proper shot before I got distracted by something shiny.
I enjoyed it a whole lot more than I thought I would, evidenced by the fact that I finished the main story and have just been tidying up for the past few days. I even went and destroyed a few extra hordes in order to get the platinum, and that style of enemy is not usually something that I enjoy, but I didn't mind it here.
Very enjoyable, I feel like this might have been one of those games that didn't quite get the attention it maybe should have.
It seems that this year, I'm only finishing games that start with 'D' for some reason

5. Simple 1500: The Pro Wrestling 2 (PS1, physical)
This is cheeky to include as the Champion Road is only like ten matches long, but it's a fun budget mindless redundant death match wrestling game with fictional characters and made by Yukes using the SD! 2 engine. There's concrete rings, tatami judo rings, fire around the ring if you want, no ropes, barbwire ropes, exploding barbwire matches. The different rings do different amounts of damage and it has actual limb damage tracking which Yukes didn't put into the SD games until HCTP. Hit a running attack too early and the opponent no-sells, hit a move at the same time and you get a Fire Pro style chop battle, opponents fight your Irish whip in the exploding barbwire match, your opponents scream if you knock them out the ring into the fire. It's amazing to see what could have been in the SD games and really makes you wish Yukes had developed the ECW games rather than Akklaim using the Attitude engine.

6. Guardians of the Galaxy (PS5 upgrade, PS4 physical disc)
What a game. Gameplay's solid and challenging but not impossible, graphics look amazing, super consistent framerate, decent illusion of choice and the humour and characters are spot-on. Biggest challenge I had was the final Raker fight but even then I was able to beat it the next day easily once I'd gone back to it not frustrated. All in all, a very good game which I wholeheartedly recommend.

19. Kingdom Hearts
Had been meaning to replay one of the games for awhile but had been split between 1 and 2. Ultimately decided to do 1, mostly on the basis of though I've played it more recently I like it less so I'd be less inclined to play it if I did it after 2. Approached things a little differently than normal with my starting game choices this time and wound up enjoying it more than the last time or two I played it, so that's cool; did come away with it wanting to play 2 so might get to that soon, though may do some shorter games first after the fairly longer ones I've been playing lately.
There's a smaaaaall part of me that's wondering about doing Chain of Memories instead of 2 but since I don't actually care about the narrative of this franchise I probably won't do that.

4. Red Dead Redemption - I started playing this sometime before the end of last year and into the start of this year. I took a few breaks, but not as much as I did for the second game, which I am also tempted at giving another go and will try not to take as long as last time. Also, with the way things went towards the end of the story (Not the ending bit when John reunited with his family, but when he went after Dutch), I think maybe I might approach things differently should I go through it again soon.
After more than a decade, this game still holds up. I liked RDR2, but for some reason I enjoyed this one more.
I am also starting a playthrough of Undead Nightmare, which will be a separate entity. I will list it as its own thing when I complete it.

I played through both 1 and 2 recently but haven't really been in the mood to get to it, at the moment mostly splitting my time between GTA5 and Re:Chain of Memories.

5. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare
I had only started this right after completing regular RDR1. I already knew that this was DLC, and because it was included on the "Game of the Year Edition" disc, I figured I play it. It had been a long time since I did a run with it.
I know that zombies haven't really gone out of fashion, but when this came out, zombies were everywhere, and I mean everywhere. With that being said, it was a fun game for what it was trying to do. This time around, I did more side-quests like try to look for certain horses and stuff.
Man, I spent most of the day playing it, but it was mostly so that I could do the side stuff. But if you go through just the story, it could be knocked out in a matter of hours.
