Why would they pin Big E? That just stinks of pettiness, there were three heels in the match.

This… honestly might be a good thing in the long run. Brock can face Lashley for the wwe title and we likely won’t get Brock vs Roman at mania and instead have Drew or Big E win the title from Roman

WWE NEVER considered Big E to be a star on the level of the others. That is why he ate the pin here.

I'm not even mad about this shit. Just supremely disappointed.

Yeah I think it's pretty obvious who is winning the men's Rumble now. It's going to be Bobby Lashley.

I wonder if they’re now pivoting to unifying the titles.

Big E better be winning the Rumble and getting a real moment at Mania because this run was just...oof. They did him dirty. And goes to Smackdown to end the Roman reign. That would be the one way to redeem tonight. So of course, it won't happen.

E goes to Smackdown and finishes Roman like it should've been. More like "gets destroyed by Roman".

I'm down for Brock vs. Lashley, but I never thought it needed the title.
It's hard for me to get excited about the new year when the champs are Brock, Becky, Roman, the Usos, and Charlotte Flair at the start of it.

Wonder if this was to shake up something since Roman was out or if Lesnar is running with the title and Big E got the short end of the straw
Either Big E gets his win back at Rumble or he's in the back of the line due to no fault of his own

I wonder if they’re now pivoting to unifying the titles. I seriously doubt it. Last I heard, FOX and NBC still want their own set of titles and rosters. The problem is that WWE keeps cutting talent when it isn't necessary, so now both rosters are heavily depleted and need callups or shuffling around. The big mens title matches will probably be Lesnar/Lashley and Drew/Roman at Mania. Sasha/Charlotte is pretty much locked in for Wrestlemania, and Becky will probably defend against either Bianca or Rhea. Or both of them. Maybe Liv as well if they feel wild. And a very outside chance of Asuka as well.

They mishandled Big E on this run. Likely dictated he change certain things regarding promos/etc because he was at 70% of how he used to be. Whether they felt he needed to be more serious or whatever, it was off. It sucks. That said if the company didn't feel it was working then better to get the title off him and go with someone they do buy into at this moment. Don't keep a title on a guy just because you're going to get criticized if you don't. He'll likely get another run soon.
Brock is on a roll though and is a different/funner character now. It's not the same as before. Especially if we get a Lashley/Lesnar program.

I think changing literally all of your Mania plans on the fly because Roman's potentially out for a few weeks is just not WWE's style nor do they need to do it.
Lesnar vs. Lashley at the Rumble. WWE has fallen into a big first-time match they can use for that show. Lesnar loses to Lashley thanks to Roman/Bloodline, Drew wins the Rumble and we get Roman/Drew/Lesnar at Mania.
Meanwhile, Lashley defends the title against a new challenger at Mania. Maybe Priest, Riddle, Big E, etc.
There was not even a hint of title unification before Lesnar won tonight and I really, really think it was just the 'send em home happy' move on WWE's part.

Brock was gonna win a title tonight. It was just supposed to be the Universal one until Roman had to pull out. I swear, if this leads to a pointless unification match instead of WWE deciding to maybe switch shit up on the fly and have Big E or Lashley win the Rumble.... That could easily be the plan, unification and back to 1 roster makes it way easier to shrink the roster.

I mean...why not let Owens or Rollins eat the pin as heels who can get their heat back immediately on Monday night? Big E could ay least have the recognition that he never was pinned or submitted for the title.
Anyway...another in a long line of WWE making a popular babyface get their comeuppance.

This was the send em home happy finish and they're running with something on the fly.

Maybe not but it can easily be sold as you always get all the stars and with their finite income it makes cuts to increase profit easier.

That's probably gonna be the Raw main event at WM.
