People thought Kofi would “go somewhere” after he lost, and yeah how did that turn out?
I’m done “letting it play out.”

According to PWI Drew McIntyre is dealing with neck issues & that's why that backstage beatdown was done Neck issues are nothing to f*** around with, especially when you're a guy who wrestles a really physical style like Drew does. Hopefully he recovers ASAP.

Big E’s title run was rough. Like shades of Punks first world title run. Maybe better, maybe worse, I’m not sure. So in that respect..tonight was a mercy kill. E was losing it one way or another.
No idea what they do (other than Lashley Vs Lesnar at some point, their interaction was awesome) and though I’d be down for a title unification, that ends with Reigns unifying them which . . *_*
I just hope Big E doesn’t get relegated to facing Goldberg or something.

So, from what Alvarez said in their review, he’s under the presumption that E was supposed to retain, Roman getting Covid made them pivot and he believes the plan is Roman Vs Brock at Mania in a champion vs champion match or a unification match. He does say the only people who know for sure are Brock, Roman, Vince, Paul and maybe Prichard.
Roman Reigns. Dual Champion. Ahahahaha..

Yeah figured they'd do something like that. Given apparently they had plans setting up WM for Reigns/Lesnar/Heyman tonight according to reports and we got this after Roman got Covid, im assuming they're unifying the belts. Damn I'm good. To the topic, one thing I'm not sure has been said is that we've gone from effectively turning Lesnar back into Super Lesnar again after it took years of balancing him. I didn't see the match as a whole but from what small clips I saw through social media, reddit and that YouTube clip, it looked like everybody was treating Lesnar like he was Godzilla and then at the end he steamrolled through all of them and then won.

The idea of Roman holding both titles & being all over both shows is exactly the sort of thing WWE would do.
Don't think of this company as a TV show, with storylines & character arcs & progression. Think of it like a toybox full of wrestling figures - Vince takes out his favourites, has them win, then puts them back in the toybox again for next week.
The only thing I liked about this was the fact that Big E took the pin. Not because I dislike him - far from it. Rather, I hate it when champions lose their titles without actually losing them, especially if they never get rematches afterward

It's Big E's childhood dream to face Goldberg and Goldie probably has only one mania match in him so maybe Big E won't mind being set up for a post rumble feud.
Seth and Owen's getting pinned after an F5 doesn't look as impressive as doing it to someone of Big E's size and they want to save it happening to Lashley for a future date.

E goes to Smackdown and finishes Roman like it should've been. More like "gets destroyed by Roman". Got to keep Roman strong for his Wrestlemania match against The Rock

Remember last time Roman got sick for a PPV and they threw a bunch of make-good shit, had the weird surprise return of Kurt Angle: Member Of The Shield and had that banger Finn vs. AJ match to make up for Bray also being out? How they lost Roman on the card and decided to make some changes that made for a better show? This feels like the hard opposite of that. Vince saw a bad situaiton adn went "Hey what if I make Roman vs. Brock at Mania title vs. title and slit the throat of Big E's push and bled it out into a goblet on an altar like he was a goat who sneezed around me"

I said this on Twitter, but I’ll say it here too… It’s utterly f***ed how the only way anybody can be for sure seen as a top star, is to win so much and so decisively and look so strong literally ALL THE TIME, that the fanbase utterly resents them and the company for doing so. Anyone below that may as well be Barry Horowitz for all the difference it makes, apparently, which makes it impossible to book a roster and a show with any actual depth or tiers to it. It’s either “guy that wins 100% of the time” or “guy that doesn’t win 100% the time, so it’s basically the same as 0% of the time”.

I'll tolerate MMA Santa's reign for now, just as long as it doesn't go beyond Mania.

There is just something so deflating about Roman, Brock, Becky and Charlotte as the main champions.
It's the clearest sign yet of how nothing ever really changes in WWE, it's just constant status quo being maintained. They have about 6 or 7 guys they think are strs and treat well and the rest are interchangeable worker bee jabronis.

Look at Big E.
How do you f*** up a top title run with that guy?

I think it's a huge sign that WWE doesn't care about long term planning these days if they decided to have Brock Lesnar win the WWE Championship once the Smackdown title match fell through.
