I'm as glad she said no as I was when she was released the first time, so a win all round.

It was win-win. Nia Jax has some self-dignity and tells WWE where to stick it after the way they fired her. And the Women's Royal Rumble avoided an injury risk.

How f***ing pathetic to have to come, knees bent and all, to damn near beg folks that you just fired to show back up because again, YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE FORESIGHT TO PREPARE FOR THIS ANNUAL MATCH THAT YOU K N O W HAS TO HAVE 30 WOMEN!!
Again, you can’t talk about professionalism when this company has as much professionalism as the person taking a dump outside your apartment

Yet they did not want to use any of the NXT women.
How baffling.

She also tried to claim she wasn’t an unsafe worker as well.

I mean, considering their history, I really do think it was an excuse to fire her rather than a grand righting of way reason to do so because, as mentioned, they literally wanted her to be in a match with several other people afterwards knowing full well she likely wasn’t going to suddenly get vaccinated. You can’t have your cake and eat it.

You can’t have your cake and eat it. Perhaps. But WWE has been VERY serious on the main roster when it comes to being vaccinated. This has been reported time and time again. Johnny Ace has sent out numerous emails saying talent needs to get vaccinated. And that WWE has vaccination staff on call if you wanted to see them during the show. Also the fact that she lied about why she was fired makes her a lot more suspect now.

So why did they drop their policies after they fired the unvaccinated? Like, you can’t be saying “Oh, we’d like you to get vaccinated but we’re also not going to protect you and your colleagues even though COVID does actually still exist”. Along with that, they didn’t make it that you must get vaccinated, just that you need to which doesn’t really leave room for people who haven’t yet to do so. Just say “you have to get vaccinated or you’re fired”. You can’t be doing these half measures.

This is a real Heel vs Heel feud.

My only guess is if she had said yes, they'd probably put in a clause that she could appear if she was vaccinated, and it never got to that stage when she said no but still, with the WWE you never know since they themselves are wishy washy with their own policies.

My counter to that is it’d depend on when they asked her too. If they asked her, say, a couple of weeks before the Rumble, there’s barely any time to get one jab, never mind two or even a potential booster even with the gap between jabs being lower now.

But, they didn’t wanna do that for some reason.

They're probably friendly and I'm not expecting her to be Jeremy Paxman or anything but it's annoying seeing Renee smile and nod along as Nia proudly describes how she's anti-vax without even mildly attempting to question how much of a dumbass stance that is. "There's definitely something to be said for following your gut on things." Yeah sure, for some things. Your gut doesn't override science though.

The issue is, and it’s sort of the issue with some interviewers, you want people to feel comfortable opening up to you so you can’t really treat interviews like that as though you’re doing deep reporting and investigative journalism. Not justifying it, I’m trying my best to deal with a close friend who still seems to think people guaranteed the vaccines would stop people from getting COVID so there is a part of me that’d rather she said something about it in the interview so then she doesn’t get lumped in with others who genuinely spread misinformation.

Yeah I have co-workers and acquaintances who still think Covid is less serious than a regular cold and everyone is just being hysterical. As infuriating as it is I just try to avoid being around them as best I can. To save any of the awkwardness, I wish Renee simply didn't invite Nia on and give her a platform. Nia also contradicted her very first statement post-release. In that she said her vaccination status was never brought up but she's now admitting Vince himself warned her she'd need to do it and she refused.

Well that’s a bit of a 180 from what she said when she was first release. Are there any talent that are not vaccinated that we know of? Seems they may have released those that were not, with her and Kross.
