It’s incredible how the open anti-vaccine person (probably the actual reason why she got cut) ends up as the babyface here, it really is. She’s in no way a baby face at all. Yeah it was a bit stupid for WWE to ask her but I think the 30 women in the rumble collectively breathed a sigh of relief to not have that walking mess in a ring with them. And she reveals in that interview that vince told her due to her no getting the vaccine she wasn’t fulfilling her contractual duties( is how I think it was phrased), and if any of us here were in breach of our contract of employment we’d be fired also.

She also tried to claim she wasn’t an unsafe worker as well. Yeah and I’m the pope. I hope Kairi Sane had stopped laughing after she read that.

Well that’s a bit of a 180 from what she said when she was first release. Are there any talent that are not vaccinated that we know of? Seems they may have released those that were not, with her and Kross. As far as I know, there is no one who is publicly unvaccinated that I know of, but there are those who have expressed skepticism in the vaccine. Sasha Banks was the big one, but she was part of the last KSA show, and you need to be fully vaccinated in order to enter the country, so she obviously got it.

It’s incredible how the open anti-vaccine person (probably the actual reason why she got cut) ends up as the babyface here, it really is. Honestly, all of that is hard to believe when a) they’d kind of had no room for anything like that for how long they kept BG James and Drake Younger hired considering what they were spewing out and b) the fact that right after they got fired, they dropped their COVID policies which lead to Roman Reigns getting COVID. Also, yes, sure, they got fired for not being vaccinated. And Keith Lee, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt were all difficult to work with, everyone hates Charlotte backstage and Mickie James was too outspoken backstage. Absolutely all believable things. You cry wolf too many times, nobody is going to believe you when the wolf actually comes. BG James and Drake were not on-air talent that would be precluded from appearing in certain cities/countries based on their vaccination status. It seems clear the issue was primarily one of not being able to work certain towns versus all about health and safety. That’s why there’s less issue bringing her in for a one-time Rumble appearance where vaccination is not required versus keeping her on as full-time talent. Also, I believe Roman got COVID before they altered their COVID policies (his last appearance was before the policies changed, though he may have been reported to have it after the policies changed).

BG James and Drake were not on-air talent that would be precluded from appearing in certain cities/countries based on their vaccination status. But they were in a position of influence which, honestly, makes it worse than it just being a regular on air talent. And to your other point, this leads me again to say you can’t have your cake and eat it. If you want her to work somewhere where vaccinations aren’t required, then that still doesn’t really think about the safety of talent. I say the same thing about Kyrie Irving still playing for the Brooklyn Nets despite not being vaccinated just because they can play somewhere that doesn’t have vaccine requirements. All well and good but doesn’t really take the day to day talent into consideration.

Right which is why I’m saying that they didn’t make their decisions based primarily on health and safety concerns, I’m in agreement with you. It seems it was based on availability of talent concerns.

If we're at a point where the question is if WWE are hypocritical clowns, shortsighted clowns, or reckless clowns being dragged by their big, honkin' red nose to places, maybe it's just time to accept they're a circus and get Vince fired out of a cannon.

I doubt there was ever any real chance of her being in the Rumble. By the sounds of it (according to Nia herself and also Summer Rae on Renee's podcast) referee John Cone was charged with contacting a bunch of people to gauge interest then a list would be presented to Vince and he'd choose the names he wanted. Cone probably hit up Wikipedia or some internal ex-employee list and contacted pretty much every available female name from the past 10-20 years other than the real obvious no go people like Sable/AJ Lee. Even if Nia said yes to Cone there's pretty much no chance Vince would have picked her. Reports seem to suggest that he's serious about the vaccination thing and all the people who were against it have been weeded out in recent months (Nia/Kross/Scarlett/Road Dogg).

It baffles me that they would ask her to come back for the Rumble, even half a year of firing her. It’s why it was weird Mickie James would come back. Mickie might be a better person than me because Inwould have given the same response that Nia did. And I don’t like her one bit, but I side with her on that. Because the nerve they have of asking someone to come back to the company for a one off after they fired her is appalling to be honest. Sarah Logan probably got that same call.

She also tried to claim she wasn’t an unsafe worker as well. Yeah and I’m the pope. I hope Kairi Sane had stopped laughing after she read that. She said she only ever hurt anyone twice with one of them being the famous Becky case but there's literally documented evidence of her hurting at least 4-5 other people. Becky, Kairi, Ember, Bayley, even Britt Baker when she was an unknown/local talent. And I'm pretty sure there's even more than that.

I take back what I said. Nia is a lying asshole and WWE is run by clowns, I'm on nobody's side here.

WWE sucks for *gestures generally at everything they’ve done for years* and Nia Jax also sucks for being anti-vaccine and lying about the circumstances of her release. I would never be on her side for her stance anyway, but I really can’t when she can’t even keep her story straight on what happened.

Are people familiar with the "Am I The Asshole?" Subreddit? Because this is definitely a ESH situation.

That really comes off like nobody was talking to her backstage about this stuff which is…slightly worrying, considering. Kairi Sane: "Ah, I see an agent is talking to Nia. I'm sure they're reprimanding her for her recklessness"Agent, talking to Nia: "So, could you ask Rock if he'd come back?"

So either WWE firing her for being anti-vaxx is rubbish or they are completely irresponsible. It could be either.
EDIT: Turns out it's both.

A lot of what Nia said here seems to contradict what she was claiming before. Especially about her release.
