John Cena: 16 time world champion, Face of the company for a decade loses to a 53 year old Undertaker in less than 2 Minutes What makes that worse is the way Cena was presented for all of 2018 up until that point: - enters the Royal Rumble, makes the final 3 but loses - Says he NEEDS to have a big moment at WrestleMania, enters the Elimination Chamber, loses - Goes to Smackdown, says a match with The Undertaker isn't going to happen, so he needs something. Challenges AJ Styles for Fastlane - Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan proceed to add Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to the match - Cena fails to win the title - comes out on Raw, says he's blown his last chance to be at Mania, UNLESS... - challenges Undertaker - Undertaker doesn't answer - challenges Undertaker - Undertaker doesn't answer - challenges Undertaker - Undertaker doesn't answer - announces he bought a ticket to watch WrestleMania - spends the first two hours of Mania in the crowd, acting hype - gets a message from the ref, suddenly jumps up and runs backstage - comes out, thinks he's getting Taker, it's actually Elias - Attitude Adjustment to Elias - Undertaker comes out - after spending weeks campaigning for the match, Cena loses in two minutes with no offense there's probably a lot of guys who ended up looking like Goobers because Undertaker is broken down and too proud to just quit already.

I went to a house show a few years ago, when Del Rio was US Champion & had teamed with Coulter. There was a triple-threat match for his title against Swagger & Barrett - all 3 were heels, with Swagger the de facto face just because fans liked to chant "we, the people". Anyway, there were times in the match where Barrett was pinning Swagger (or vice-versa) & Del Rio wouldn't break up the pin. And he wasn't down selling, either, he was standing there with his hands on his hips watching the pin. In shoot he was waiting for his next spot, but in kayfabe he looks like an absolute clown. I was sooooooo annoyed watching him. Not to detract from the story but Swagger was in fact a face at the time, he'd already defended America's honour against Rusev.

Kurt Angle's Carlton Banks moments early on in his career. He was such a goofball, but a loveable one!

Braun Strowman blindly agrees to defend his IC Title in a 3-on-1 handicap match because he refuses to read the contract, then loses the title.

"Knock, knock"
"Who's there"
"I'm Braden Walker and I'm going to knock your brains out."
Braden Walker/Chris Harris' career wasn't the same after that.

Unpopular though it might be, Shawn overselling for Hogan basically cemented the idea that Hogan can't wrestle anymore and I don't think he's ever been able to recover from that

TNA referencing WWE all time, tell me if I am getting this wrong because hearing about the stuff made me not want to watch TNA, like Abyss getting super powers from Hogans WWE Hall of Fame ring, is that something that happened? Makes your company look small time.

Anytime someone has to sell getting electrocuted, it always looks like something out of a Christmas pantomime.

-Roman's "sufferin' succotash" & "tater tots" lines.
-Lex Luger vs T-Shirt
-I'm sure this one has already been mentioned, but Finn Balor at Extreme Rules 2021

Makes your company look small time. Sorta Hulk gave Abyss his hall of fame ring... he didn't get actually super powers but he did go on a long winning streak and started coming out to American Made... but he did claim the ring was part of why he was winning as if he was the Hulk Lantern...

Big Show giving up his ironclad contract and potentially company ending lawsuit with WWE for a title match against Randy Orton he lost and then dressing up as Baby New Year a few weeks later.

Sabu, a man who had legitimately taped and glued parts of his body back together during matches, taps out to John Cena. It's cheesy, and I get why people were annoyed, but given they'd also had Benoit tap to Cena by then, I guess no one was off-limits. Maybe they should have done it with ECW Kurt instead, though Kurt annoyed people plenty as it is when he gave an interview later in TNA where he said, "that kid can work" about Sabu. You know, the guy who to that point had been wrestling for more than 20 years, and is 4 years older than Kurt. I love Kurt, but sometimes, he could be really insufferable during the height of his ego. At least the Sabu one made sense, in that Sabu's pain tolerance is such that they could have given him the dignity of passing out in the STFU as opposed to tapping to it like everyone else did. Meanwhile, I always felt like the argument for Benoit not tapping was some wacky video game logic where him being a submission guy is supposed to give him some sort of natural resistance to submissions in general, or a superhuman ability to counter out of any submission unless it's from another submission guy regardless of the context of the match. When in reality, Benoit is still a human being that still registers pain the same as anyone else when trapped in a submission hold from a body-building freak like Cena, so if he's completely trapped in a submission move that all the other top guys are submitting to and he is not close to the ropes, Benoit is going to tap too even if you don't agree with the booking decision (which let's face it, was the real gripe everyone had with the decision at the time).

The terrible opening promo would likely have been mostly forgotten rather quickly if he showed up in any kind of shape to work too. But he was completely out of shape at that point.

London and Kendrick making the save for Triple H and celebrating, only to get Pedigreed by the asskicker himself. JR selling that afterwards made my blood boil.

You also forgot John Cena: "If Undertaker doesn't accept my challenge, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY I can be on the card at Wrestlemania!" Baron Corbin (either on the same show or 4 days later): "I am entering myself into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal!"

Not his fault, but Austin's "pin" of Owen at SummerSlam '97 when he could barely move made both guys look ridiculous and was an embarrassing blip in Austin's badass mystique. Rock started to go goober for a while there with his forced attempts at getting pie and strudel over. With how serious his situation was, honestly I'm surprised the match wasn't just stopped. He was booked to win the belt and all but what good is it if he ends up in a wheelchair for life because they tried to get some kind of finish out of it instead of getting him immediate medical attention
