TNA referencing WWE all time, tell me if I am getting this wrong because hearing about the stuff made me not want to watch TNA, like Abyss getting super powers from Hogans WWE Hall of Fame ring, is that something that happened? Makes your company look small time. Sorta Hulk gave Abyss his hall of fame ring... he didn't get actually super powers but he did go on a long winning streak and started coming out to American Made... but he did claim the ring was part of why he was winning as if he was the Hulk Lantern... Hulk Lantern? So an Orange Lantern? (Hogan as Larfleeze makes SO much sense.)

Not his fault, but Austin's "pin" of Owen at SummerSlam '97 when he could barely move made both guys look ridiculous and was an embarrassing blip in Austin's badass mystique. Rock started to go goober for a while there with his forced attempts at getting pie and strudel over. With how serious his situation was, honestly I'm surprised the match wasn't just stopped. He was booked to win the belt and all but what good is it if he ends up in a wheelchair for life because they tried to get some kind of finish out of it instead of getting him immediate medical attention The only excuse that I can think of is that the stipulation was that if Austin didn’t win the IC belt from him, he would have to kiss Owen’s BARE behind. I’m not saying it’s a good excuse though.

As per stipulation, if Austin didn't win the IC title, he would have to kiss Owen Hart's ass, and you couldn't have your biggest rising star do that. It would look silly for them to just stop the match under those circumstances. Other than that dodgy roll-up, I can't think of any other way to avoid all that(the ass-kissing).

They really should have just storyline finessed their way out of it. Once Austin is back on television, have Austin get into Owen's head when he's supposed to do the ass kissing, and goads Owen into doubling down on the bet. When Austin eventually faces Owen in the rematch, Austin must not only kiss Owen's ass on the spot, but is forced to leave the WWF forever. Something like that could easily get them out of the stipulation, but without Austin needing to risk further injury by performing the worst roll up in history.

Sabu, a man who had legitimately taped and glued parts of his body back together during matches, taps out to John Cena. No, no. How about he vs. Rey ending in a no contest/Double KO.

One of Bret Hart’s first big moments in WCW: claiming there was a fast count and restarting a match where Sting was pinned fairly and cleanly.

There has been no one in wrestling who has been hyped up SO MUCH and then made to look like a total goober as much as the Fiend.
- Wins the championship and is presented as a world-beater, even given a custom belt, then quickly and definitively squashed by 50 year-old Goldberg.
- Takes such an ass beating in HIAC match that it's ended by ref stoppage.
- Loses Firefly Inferno match to Orton and is burned alive. Spends months appearing in a new elaborate costume. Comes out at Wrestlemania in a special entrance, is distracted by his own manager, and quickly squashed by Orton again to disappear forever.
- This whole thing was just a reason to make Alexa Bliss "creepy." Begin Lily angle.

Maybe having the ref get in Owen's face and for Owen to toss him to the side and get DQ'd. It'd have made Owen look like an idiot and still pissed the fans off, but I guess it would have worked to not put the belt on an injured Austin. Then again, for all their knew, he may have "just" had a stinger or something, in which case they would have probably thought he could win it and be back on track without them having to go the route they did, they did not know the seriousness of the injury.

Makes you think, why couldn't Owen just punch the ref as soon as the bell rang. He would keep the belt AND get his ass kissed.

Lex Luger during his KOTR 1994 Qualifing Match against Jeff Jarrett. Lex gets tossed to the outside. While the referee’s back is turned, Crush beats up Lex. Lex gets up and despite the fact that he had plenty of time to get in the ring, he goes down the aisle and beats up Crush. The announcers st first say Crysh costed Lex the match. They later on retconned this by saying that Lex could’ve made it back in but he decided to go after Crush. It made Lex really look like an idiot. I actually wonder if Lex legit screwed up and got up to early.
