I know that Hollywood Hogan was supposed to be a wimpy coward compared to his Hulkamania days, but the day he sold for Jay Leno was the day that made child me sit up and say “Wait a minute… this shit really IS fake!”

The "car accident" promo from Matt Hardy hurt him so damn much. You can almost hear the chances of Matt being booked at least semi-competitively against Edge shattering during that promo... especially after Edge's followup...

The guy in the hat is Men on a Mission's manager Oscar. He met Vince McMahon and Randy Savage that weekend getting into an elevator, rapped for them, and basically got himself hired right then and there.

After the match, Trips came out and talked to both Cena and Rey and they agreeed that they should wrestle each other later on tonight.
See in kayfabe, John didn’t challenge Rey after his title win. It was Trips’ fault in kayfabe.

-Chavo repeatedly loses to and is made a fool of by f***ing Hornswoggle -Edge's "Billy Bitchcakes" promo -Davey Boy gets Rock Bottom'd into literal dog shit Not only that, but Billy Gunn standing on the stage, saying nothing as Edge totally ruined him. I have one to add, I don't think Public Enemy ever recovered after their disaster of a run in WWE, which lasted about two weeks and the only thing remotely memorable about it was them getting their asses handed to them by the APA.

The Austin/Owen one, IIRC the reason they went through with the bad finish was that if Austin lost, he would've had to kiss Owen's ass, so they couldn't just stop the match or have Owen win.
Also, never forget Ricochet's "I'm not here to talk"

John Cena: 16 time world champion, Face of the company for a decade loses to a 53 year old Undertaker in less than 2 Minutes What makes that worse is the way Cena was presented for all of 2018 up until that point: - enters the Royal Rumble, makes the final 3 but loses - Says he NEEDS to have a big moment at WrestleMania, enters the Elimination Chamber, loses - Goes to Smackdown, says a match with The Undertaker isn't going to happen, so he needs something. Challenges AJ Styles for Fastlane - Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan proceed to add Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to the match - Cena fails to win the title - comes out on Raw, says he's blown his last chance to be at Mania, UNLESS... - challenges Undertaker - Undertaker doesn't answer - challenges Undertaker - Undertaker doesn't answer - challenges Undertaker - Undertaker doesn't answer - announces he bought a ticket to watch WrestleMania - spends the first two hours of Mania in the crowd, acting hype - gets a message from the ref, suddenly jumps up and runs backstage - comes out, thinks he's getting Taker, it's actually Elias - Attitude Adjustment to Elias - Undertaker comes out - after spending weeks campaigning for the match, Cena loses in two minutes with no offense

Watching an old "How Adam Would Book" and thought of a good one:
Dean Ambrose cutting a promo about the fans being diseased... while he's getting a vaccine injected into his ass.

Sabu, a man who had legitimately taped and glued parts of his body back together during matches, taps out to John Cena.

I watched the Jerry Lynn promo the other day and it was god awful. I can imagine Vince losing his crap on someone like JR for being on the other end, Heyman for probably putting him over to Vince and whoever it was whose idea it was to put him in the position. The "Judgement Day" was FAR from the worst part. That was basically an impression of some celebrity guests and Jake Roberts and Hercules didn't know the proper way to say Survivor Series or Royal Rumble.

I went to a house show a few years ago, when Del Rio was US Champion & had teamed with Coulter. There was a triple-threat match for his title against Swagger & Barrett - all 3 were heels, with Swagger the de facto face just because fans liked to chant "we, the people".
Anyway, there were times in the match where Barrett was pinning Swagger (or vice-versa) & Del Rio wouldn't break up the pin. And he wasn't down selling, either, he was standing there with his hands on his hips watching the pin. In shoot he was waiting for his next spot, but in kayfabe he looks like an absolute clown. I was sooooooo annoyed watching him.

Not his fault, but Austin's "pin" of Owen at SummerSlam '97 when he could barely move made both guys look ridiculous and was an embarrassing blip in Austin's badass mystique. Rock started to go goober for a while there with his forced attempts at getting pie and strudel over. I remeber watching the first one and thinking that was lame, but with hindsight I give it a pass as his neck was f***ed. All of the Rock's catchphrases were lame but they were OVER, no matter how much I hated them the crowd ate it up.

Sabu, a man who had legitimately taped and glued parts of his body back together during matches, taps out to John Cena. It's cheesy, and I get why people were annoyed, but given they'd also had Benoit tap to Cena by then, I guess no one was off-limits. Maybe they should have done it with ECW Kurt instead, though Kurt annoyed people plenty as it is when he gave an interview later in TNA where he said, "that kid can work" about Sabu. You know, the guy who to that point had been wrestling for more than 20 years, and is 4 years older than Kurt. I love Kurt, but sometimes, he could be really insufferable during the height of his ego.

That Carlito and Hornswoggle skit. Marc Mero and Jacqueline during the Sable feud, I just remember starting to watching wrestling the summer of 98 and wondering how the two of them came off as bumbling idiots getting punked out by Sable every week It made Marc look like one IRL too...as it looked like he was going back on his "beliefs" that supposedly led him to fall out with WCW (he was upset that he had to explain why he was with Kimberly as Johnny B. Badd, and not his real wife) Actually, OP...are we doing kayfabe moments or real life ones? Or both? I'm at least half convinced something got lost in that story, and Meri was just saying "I wouldn't cheat on MY wife"

If he says no, as much as he’d have reasonable grounds to do so, he’s the one that then gets labelled as a coward for ducking a challenge.

I'm at least half convinced something got lost in that story, and Meri was just saying "I wouldn't cheat on MY wife" It was a different situation a few years from WCW. By time Jacqueline came to WWF, I think it was less of a case of a potential storyline relationship with the two and much more of a case of, in reality, to build Sable as a wrestler WWF needs people she can face. She already went with Luna and that didn't work out, Debra had yet to come, Terri had been off TV for a while and Chyna was in different storylines plus I'm sure it wouldn't go well with her and Sable.
