Say what you want about the guy, but he always seems to get clicks. I've noticed his videos are always 1 million plus views the next day when posted.

Kind of shows how bad they have been at building new stars that they need to bring the 50+ year old grandpa back just to “get some clicks.”

Kind of shows how bad they have been at building new stars that they need to bring the 50+ year old grandpa back just to “get some clicks.” And what happens when those 50+ guys are no longer available and none of your current guys are star enough? Then we get to see how well the WWE as the real star concept truly holds up.

What happens when Brock, Charlotte, Roman, Becky, etc don’t want to do it anymore. Like they have had enough or want to pursue other opportunities, etc.

What happens when Brock, Charlotte, Roman, Becky, etc don’t want to do it anymore. Like they have had enough or want to pursue other opportunities, etc. Undertaker’s retired, Cena’s pretty much acting full time and I’d say HHH’s in-ring career is done due to his health issues. Brock ain’t getting any younger, I suspect once his body starts breaking down he’ll call it a day. Roman already has some connections in Hollywood thanks to Rock and appearing in Hobbs and Shaw, and seeing how Cena and Batista have managed to become successful I can see him giving it a go. Charlotte will probably be offski as soon as her contract runs out. Becky might want to retire depending on whenever Rollins does so they can look after their daughter full time. Sasha has her road into Hollywood through the Mandalorian. Goldberg will probably have his last match against Roman, I’d be surprised if he signed another deal. Orton’s already dropping hints about his body starting to feel the effects of doing the RKO for almost 20 years. Edge will retire again within the next 2-3 years. There’s only so long you can bank on “WWE is the star” but any casual observer that sees a WrestleMania main event of Omos vs Shanky aren’t exactly going to be won over.

I can see Tony Khan bringing in Goldberg for a short run. WCW nostalgia plus he’s been a needle mover at times for WWE, so I’d imagine it would be the same for AEW.

If it was supposed to be Seth vs. Shane, I wonder if they pivot to Seth vs. Goldberg.

I hope Shane McMahon returns, they make it a triple threat, and Shane wins the title after stacking Roman and Goldberg on top of each other.

Would anyone want Goldberg to take the belt off Roman so that the universal title is opened up at Mania?
Brock and Roman for the WWE title. Goldberg and Big E for the Universal title.

Sorry, that’s a f*** no from me. For as strong as Reigns has been booked as champion, for as long as he has been champion, for as much as both those things utterly irritate the shit out of everybody… That whole rub just going to Goldberg would be more egregious than the times he beat Owens and Wyatt for the belt. The ends don’t justify the means.

It's the bit with 52 year old Goldberg, wrecked shoulder and all, beating Reigns that is the problem and all that heat from beating Roman going to Goldberg.

I’d like Big E getting his world title back. But I just can’t have it based on Goldberg beating Reigns. They’ve spent a year and a half building up this guy as literally unbeatable, with everyone and everything that has gone into that. You have one chance to beat that man for the belt and for it to mean something. Goldberg isn’t it.

Having Roman spend the better part of two years plowing through everyone on the roster, and being champion for 500+ days, just to have 52 year old gets gassed just walking to the ring Oldberg be the one to end it. And with really no story behind it either.
It would be a TERRIBLE “payoff.”

So doesn't Goldberg lose most of the time these days? Why, as a Goldberg fan, would I want to see him show up and get his ass kicked? It isn't like he was a workrate guy who put on great matches win or lose, his whole appeal is that he annihilates guys in seconds. Why am I supposed to want to see a guy I remember being a badass when I was a teenager looking like an old man who can't get the job done anymore? That's not nostalgia, that's a sad reminder of encroaching mortality. They've got a roster filled with losers who they're determined to undermine and make sure don't get over already, why not throw another one of them to Goldberg to murder? That might actually be entertaining. I harp on this exact point every f***ing time they bring out Goldberg. Goldberg absolutely has a role to play in WWE, but it’s squashing geeks every few months to pop a rating or sell some tickets. Stop putting him in main events that make him look bad!
